Devotional: Having just read a book with my daughter, “Corrie Ten Boom” from the Women of Faith series…I am driven to remembrance. What is unmistakable is the priority she and her sister Betsy placed on drawing and preaching to the Lost. Comfort is all too loathed a distraction. So I shudder knowing that only by displaying a “First Service” mentality – regardless the hardship and despite the extreme lack of comfort – will this soul understand better what CHRIST did for me. Amen and amen.

Longing for shelter
within hellish storms
yet not for a set structure
to protect my own.
Longing for comfort
within Winter’s grasp
yet not for a coat
to cover my own.
Longing for love
within…to pour out
yet not for self service
to fill my own lack.
Longing for HIS light
within this stained soul
yet not without shining
first…CHRIST….so you know.
