Revival Conference 2008?

Saints,

After much prayer and time with God there is a renewed desire in my heart and other brethren's hearts to see another revival conference this year. I have received much feedback and praise reports from the conference last year. changed lives, revived lives, churches in the canton area that have increased membership. But I believe God focused primarily on personal revival this last year.

I do have in my heart to see a genuine plea for revival and a great awakening in North America and the world. There was a lack of prayer and "crying out" last event but I believe God was preparing hearts.

So once again I am praying towards a event this next October. I am praying for free use of a facility for this event and praying about the speakers that God would have come. Please do pray for the Lord to prepare the way for this event again, I believe it has to be EVEN MORE of God this year for it to happen!

any feedback and comments are appreciated.

Amen, Brother! The Lord is preparing hearts. Let us prepare a way for the Lord. "Hark, I hear a noise! Behold a shaking! I can almost feel the breeze upon my cheek. I can almost see the great living army rising to their feet. Shall we not pray and pray and pray, till the Spirit comes, and God revives His people?" R. A. Torrey

Let us pray.

Canton 2007 was a great blessing. If the Lord would allow it I would love to come again.

I am not sure if it would be in canton again. I am praying about this and for the Lord to open doors with any sympathetic pastors who feel that God would have them host the event and pray for revival.

Hi Greg...

This is wonderful news, as my wife and I were unable to attend the conference in the fall. However, does the conference necessarily have to be located in a Church building? There might be some venues available that are not part of a Church sanctuary. Is it possible that there are some wonderful camps, college meeting halls, mere meeting places, etc... that could suffice in this?

Thanks for any information! We are already praying!

It may be some nostalgic or sentimental thread in me, but there was something very special about Canton. Trinity Gospel Temple had a very peaceful atmosphere in the sanctuary that I will not soon forget. There were many other things that were conducive to this without a doubt.

But my prayers might be a bit biased. ;-)

I agree. There is a lot of revival history also in that part of the country. I visited Finney's grave in Oberlin and did not realize that Tozer is buried in Akron not far from where I was staying. But, I just had a sense that God was at work there and had been for a very long time.

Yes brother, that is true, I would love to hear further ideas and feasibility on this. I definitely agree it does not have to be in a church building.

Well perhaps there is a small chance of the event being held in england? I would definitely need to see enough local support there for a event like this to be there. I had 2-3 pastors from england approach me on the idea during last conference.

Our we limited to October
I would love to attend, but wedding and honeymoon are during that time. Whenever and wherever you have it, I will be praying for God's Holy power to be revealed in a great way, and for lives to be transformed.

If you want to get nostalgic, my friend has a big gospel tent or two (with heaters)!

Brother,

no we are not,.. but that is a rough date for the event at this point. I was praying about this more and I thought it would be very interesting to have one main event location and about 5+ other locations where the live webcast feed goes into.

perhaps we could live webcast from the tent:

I have been discussing this conference with some brothers and organizations. Personally I only want what God wants with this event. Please continue to pray and seek God for this event.

If any pastor of a church would feel God is wanting you to open the doors of your church for this event please contact me at: sermonindex@gmail.com

I will keep everyone posted on any new things God is putting on my heart. Do feel free to share what you would like to see or any other input as we progress towards a possible conference.

Oh, to God that we would have such a conference in England. It would be so needed and timely. The church here is largely sleeping, we need reviving, we need stirring, we desperately do.

I would be happy to do anything at this end to help make it happen.

Once the Pilgrim Fathers left our shores for your own, godly men and women from England, a land so peculiarly blessed by God. From these dear and holy saints God raised up the largest Christian country the world has ever seen. I know things have declined in the US of late but i doubt they have to the same proportions as they have here in England.

Brethren if it seems good to you and the Holy Spirit, will you please return the favour and come and be a blessing unto our land by holding the conference here?

To have the conference in England I would need the interest of many pastors in england and also free use of a church there.

I understand. I know it may be a long shot. You said there are 3 pastors who have expressed an interest, do you know which part of England they live in?

I am the youth pastor of a church in the center of England, about 30 mins drive from Birmingham. It may not be big enough however as it could seat about 500....
