In the latest issue of The Old Paths, Greg had an article on the imitation of Christ of which i've never heard of but probably most have. I thought that maybe some might want to download the whole book in PDF format.

I gave up on reading the article as it was in The Old Paths, the language was incredibly tough. I spent more time trying to work out what Kempis was actually saying than taking any of it in :-P

I'm finding out that the Imitation to Christ is some very hard reading. Hard to understand his line of thought somewhat. Even the article in the Old Paths was difficult. For the record though; i do love the Old Paths Magazine very very much and look forward to another issue.

No, I didn't really find it hard to read and understand, maybe my copy had been updated or something? I can't remember where I found it. I do however find it very hard to apply(because of my flesh)...It is a meaty piece of writing and a wonderful challenge to imitate Christ! Oh how I want to succeed at the challenge!
I'm wondering what you mean Julian, because the excerpt in The Old Paths was very difficult to read because of the language (it was too old!) but the link that you gave:

I still find myself after reading this by saying, huh? It just seems to be deep or heavy reading is where i'm coming from. Just not use to it. I do have books here at the house that after i read a paragraph i have to go back and read it again, because it might be a bit deep, or how it's written might be confusing so i have to do a double take on it to understand it. Things like that.
