This Pilgrim’s Prayer

LORD, well known this voice
has oft filled YOUR ears.
LORD, well known it shares
both of praises and fears.

LORD, frustrated self
has again turned to THEE.
LORD, none else can help
so that Rescue…finds me.

LORD, longing for Home
so my soul cries out loud.
Yet nevertheless,
to YOUR will I have bowed.

LORD, visit my visions
since this hour exceeds “Late”…
for this servant is weary
and Hope has…escaped.

LORD, hear not this pen
as its’ ink weeps – fatigued.
Only take me from bondage,
LORD, grant me…release.

Quote: 'longing for home'

And so we should be.

If we suppose this sad planet is our home, we are very much mistaken.

Jesus said 'I go to prepare a place for you'

Now that place I want.

God bless.

Enid, if I should cease longing for glory...or as in weakened moments...backslide into doubt and dissention, then my calling becomes dim and my voice fades as well. Thank GOD for HIS WORD for such strengthens me yet again this morning for the remainder of my journey! Amen and amen!
