As I was writing my last post, I thought that it would be interesting to see what books everyone is currently reading or have read recently, and what you like or are learning about the books.
I sure could use some new recommended reading lists. Anyone else?

I'm an avid reader. Voracious. Books are probably my favorite "things" in this world.
However, I made a decision to stop reading any books for a while. I know there are some great books out there, but, given my recent conversion from the Word of Faith movement (being deceived by men), I want only the Word and the Holy Spirit as teachers. So, I'm only reading the Bible currently. Any of the sermons I watch, listen to or read online, I'm putting to the test and prayer.

well brother joe, much like keith i have put down books for a season to just read the word through in a couple months. i have never read through the word without stopping multiple times and it took about 12 months to do. it has changed my view of the word from almost a reference book for doctrine and practice to seeing the story of His love, grace, and justice in a continuous flow. it has been amazing to see these things from His eyes and He has totally changed me in the process.As I was writing my last post, I thought that it would be interesting to see what books everyone is currently reading or have read recently, and what you like or are learning about the books.I sure could use some new recommended reading lists.
