Three daughters which are bred by prosperity -watson

This word causes me to rejoice! What a gift to not be deceived by money and wealth and this kind of contentment!

Agur prayed, "Give me not riches" (Proverbs 30:8). He knew
his heart would run wild into sin. The world's golden apple,
bewitches.

I used to think that I would like to have [i]just enough[/i] money so all my bills were paid and I wouldn't have to worry about where money would come from. I never cared about being rich. But, this teaching is reassuring that it's much better to rely on God for our daily needs than have everything we need and risk neglecting our dependance on, and relationship with, the Father.

Because He knows our needs and has promised to meet them, this really takes a lot of pressure and stress away to "have to do something" when the need arises. Yes, we must trust, pray and have faith during our times of need, but how much better is it for us to exercise [i]those[/i] spiritual muscles instead of exercising the worldly ones of stress? At least, doing this God's way, we [i]have assurance[/i] that it will work out for good!

Yes this can be true. Prosperity can take away the "edge'.
But for me as a businessman I cannot be impressed by prosperity because I need cash flow to operate my business.

I have seen many people change when the they get a large amount of money.

Money for me is a tool. I have to have it to operate. Lots of it.

well not so much any more. I am not the "contender" I once was.

Victory also carries a pitfall.

I heard Dave Wilkerson say once that his biggest defeats came after his biggest victories.

So prosperity and victory are only as bad as those entrusted to them?
