Christians Kidnapped in India
------------------------------------------------------
Feb 28, 2008
------------------------------------------------------

I am coming to you today asking for your fervent prayer for a group of
Christians who have been kidnapped in Himachal Pradesh, India. Read
the full story here:

Their captors are thought to be the anti-Christian extremist arm of the
state's ruling political party. Initial reports are that the
extremists are trying to get the Christians to renounce Christ and follow their
country's traditional religion. Please join me in praying for these
Christians, that their faith would not waver.

LORD, turn this for Your Glory!
Make a way where there is no way.

Thank you HeartSong.

1 Deliver me(them), O LORD, from evil men;
Preserve me(them) from violent men,
2 Who plan evil things in their hearts;
They continually gather together for war.
3 They sharpen their tongues like a serpent;
The poison of asps is under their lips. Selah

4 Keep me(them), O LORD, from the hands of the wicked;
Preserve me(them) from violent men,
Who have purposed to make my(their) steps stumble.
5 The proud have hidden a snare for me(them), and cords;
They have spread a net by the wayside;
They have set traps for me(them). Selah

6 I said to the LORD: “You are my God;
Hear the voice of my(their) supplications, O LORD.
7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my(their) salvation,
You have covered my(their) head in the day of battle.
8 Do not grant, O LORD, the desires of the wicked;
Do not further his wicked scheme,
Lest they be exalted. Selah

9 “As for the head of those who surround me(them),
Let the evil of their lips cover them;
10 Let burning coals fall upon them;
Let them be cast into the fire,
Into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
11 Let not a slanderer be established in the earth;
Let evil hunt the violent man to overthrow him.”

12 I know that the LORD will maintain
The cause of the afflicted,
And justice for the poor.
13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name;
The upright shall dwell in Your presence.

In The Name of Jesus The Son of The Most High and Mighty God who called us and knitted us in the womb of our mother from the beggining knew us even before we are born, and all knowing that able to deliver us, we ask You Oh God.

In Christ Jesus we bow our knee.

Dear Laura,
Thank you so much for your e-mail regarding our brothers and sisters in
Himachal Pradesh. I was informed that we have just received further
information from the field, and we will be releasing that information
shortly (within the day hopefully). Thank you for your patience with
us. God bless!

Yours In Christ,

Kidnapped Christians Released
------------------------------------------------------
March 11, 2008
------------------------------------------------------

More than 60 Christians who were kidnapped by extremists in Himachal
Pradesh, India, on February 27 were released unharmed. However, the
kidnapped Christians were forced to participate in a humiliating ceremony at
a religious temple before they were released. Click here to read the
news story about their release.

We also learned today that Gospel for Asia missionary Haresh Kujur was
released after being kidnapped March 1. He was conducting a youth
program at his church in Assam, India, when a group of anti-Christian
extremists abducted him. No other details about his release are available at
this time.

Please keep both of these situations in your prayers, even as we
rejoice over the release of these Christian brothers and sisters.
