jesus paid the price

I wrote a poem a few years ago around easter time.\\

JESUS HAS A LOVE FOR US
THAT NO ONE CAN COMPARE
A LOVE THAT HAD TO PAY A PRICE
THAT NO ONE ELSE COULD BARE
HE BORE THE WEIGHT OF ALL OUR SINS
AND TOOK THEM TO THE GROUND
TO BARE OUR OWN INIQUITIES, WE WOULD SURELY DROWN
PRAISE THE LORD HE ROSE AGAIN
OUR GOD, FOR US SINNERS SLAIN
TRUST IN HIM, AND AS PROMISED
HE'LL FREE US FROM OUR CHAINS.
