Recommended Churches?

Hi, I thought this forum would be a good place to ask for church recommendations. I know people in a few different areas who are searching for a godly church home:

Dallas, TX
Chicago, IL
Nashville, TN
Philadelphia, PA
San Diego, CA
Endicott/Elmira/Binghamton, NY

I don't mean for this to be a springboard for denominational division - I think they are open to any God-honoring church that believes the core doctrines such as the inerrancy of Scripture, the Trinity, the Virgin Birth, etc.

What I hope to find for them is more than just a place where most of the congregation go to hear sermons and otherwise minimally involved. I'd like to find a place where the majority of the congregation is actively involved with leadership in serious prayer and Bible study and community outreach. Even though most churches offer these activities, I find that usually only a small minority is involved in them in any significant way. One where most are involved is usually one that is thriving spiritually from my limited experience.

I have been living in Tulsa, Oklahoma for about 9 months and stil havent decided about being member of any local church here.If any recommendations for me too, i'll appreciate it.

I'm not any more fond of any denominational labels- my preference is for independent local churches with elders pastoring the flock and not just one pastor but most important a church where they emphasize the cross,repentance grace,discipleship,being filled with Spirit missions,holiness and believe the gifts of the spirit (i dont mean charismatic).

i hesard of a guy named david robertson who is a pastor of a church there in OK, but i don't know anything about the guy, or if it's acutally there. you could research it.
