in 1 Jn. 2:15 b if any man love the world the love of the father is not in him. precious sister I know what you are going through. several years ago we thought a freind who was a dope dealer had come to the Lord. He said to us one day, " I just can't stand to be a puppet on a string then he blasphemed. There are different folks out there , some have made a intelectual consent to God but they have not counted the cost, in lk. 14:28. to be Jesus disciple one must be ready to give up his life-- desires. You know here's hope some are like Peter who denied knowing Jesus, but of coarse in that case it was to save his neck. If our brother or sister is falling we can claim them by faith. the time limit is up to God our action of faith is to love them -- not always showing scripture. I know about a hells angel who was so loved by a christian girl-- Jesus love , that she won him to Jesus-- he is now a preacher! halleluia. and last some people just want a little atention and could be having a pitty party. ask God to give you the peace which passes all understanding-- and pray Lord if you have me on his case guide me by your Spirit.
