something that has puzzled me is once I surrendered really much, I pressed towards God all I could, but then I hit a wall, like, I could not get pass it, is that normal? has any of you experienced it? and how do i get pass it?

Dear Ole,
I believe that anyone who has truly served God wholeheartedly have been where you are. I have found that I must continue to seek HIs face. It is very reare that His timing of revival meets ours. He is God and is supreme! Stay steadfast in your prayer and focus on Him, not so much your journey. As long as you are obedient and faithful, God will open up the flood gates! But only in His timing. Do not be discouraged. Pray for God to reveal why He is keeping you in the place that you are at spiritually. He will enlighten and strengthen you to continue in His walk of faith.
Be strong my friend and never fail in your devotion.

Surrender to me means to stop all rebellion. We sometimes have secret rebellion, rebellion we feel we can somehow hold onto because our pride want let us forgive a rebuke or a sarcastic remark that we did not deserve.
Our life in Christ will never become peaceful until we kick old god “I” off the throne of our heart and send him into exile.
I’ve read your other posts .Forgive me, but, none of you seem very mature. When I became a man I put away childish bickering and sibling rivalry.
As children of God we should focus our undivided attention on Him. Build a life on the precepts of the Bible and you will be drawn away from disputes involving right and wrong, good and evil.
Christianity is love. If you love your enemies you want be drawn into their rebellion, state chapter and verse and move on.

As your description is somewhat brief, please take my response in proportion to what it is worth in your situation...
Sometimes we can become so focused on our invaluable inner life with God that we slowly devalue life's other duties; our families, our work, and of course our practical service. Occasionally I have suspected that God, who is spirit, still maintains more activity in the physical world then I do. It may be worth considering that the wall you feel on any given day isn't a great barrier, but simply a signal that your spiritual work for that day is done, and that it's time to rise to your feet and do some chores.
Our prayers for revival, like ships under construction, can't stay in the wharves forever. Though we labor hard to build the perfect vessel, eventually we must put to sea with the rigging and sails we have at our means.

Disclaimer: When it comes to seeking God it can be quite the struggle. I am certain that it has nothing to do with you personally with these brick walls that you and I encounter, rather it's how far are willing to go. The wall is just a marker as it were, to go further means more of you has to decrease.
When we go on a diet there is place where when we've lost a considerable amount of wieght we "plateau". It's a place where you don't lose wieght, it's a time of great discouragment because nothing is happening. Many go back to their eating habits gaining wieght back and then there are the few that wait it out and continue to maintain their eating habits until the cycle is broken and they resume losing wieght.
Many men and women stop at that wall and do not continue, and to them that is fine. God blessed them and worked his GOOD and ACCEPTABLE will of God in them. But for the few others they pressed on because they wanted the PERFECT will of God for their lives. Not to say that those who started out and stopped at the brick wall didn't want the perfect will of God, we've all started out with that desire, but we become satisfied with were we've come and that was it.
If you go beyond the wall, all hell will break lose. Enticements of all kinds will come your way to get you off that track. A beautiful woman, $$$success$$$ will bombard you. The world never batted you an eye, now your something to consider for success. You preach a fiery message and the congregation will butter you up with syrupy praises the buttons on your shirt will bust because your enjoying the praises of the people. You sing "how great thou art" and now someone wants you to sign a recording contract to sing to the world. The thought of saying NO is a word not found in your vocabulary.
If your desiring to go beyond the wall re read the disclaimer above. If your still persistant, praise the LORD, God bless you Brother. Just remember that the road gets bumpier and the path becomes more narrow to the place that grass has grown over the path because a path that is less travelled is also a path that will be grown up. So discernment is key, and asking for this before you go any further would help you a great deal. If you had friends before, you may end up with just one or none, but not to worry at the end of this course you'll have friends that will do you good, friends that travel this road with you.

I believe God uses these walls just as Compliments explained.
However, sometimes we have no idea what God wants us to give up. We rack our brains and it is just another episode of thinking about ourselves rather than [i]Him
Another thing I discovered, is that I have favourite ways of praying, which have the effect of not truly opening my life up to God's good dealings with it. So.... I used my brain a different way - to rephrase [u]what
Having said that, I do believe God puts the prayers in our mouth. But sometimes there seems to be a disconnect between heart and mouth, which (I suggest), is often do to with the unregenerated parts of our minds.
So... (trying to think of an example)... from praying (for instance) 'Lord, please help me get through this wall' I might have changed it to... [i]Lord, I know there must be a way through this wall. Please show me the door[i]or, please break this wall down for me, and rescue me from this impasse
I have also frequently prayed that God will back me into a corner (meaning that He will force me to face every other thing which distracts from the issue He [i][b]really[u]know[u]know
Anyway, the soul who has died in Christ, has nothing to worry about except whether he'll be able to bear the coming resurrection glory. Somehow, God keeps it within our grasp. This is definitely not something [u]we

I believe I recognize what you say
Like I said, 'for what it's worth to you.' :-)
Obviously I was concerned that what I said might be taken as 'settling' for less. Much clamor is made today about 'passion', but I believe we may be doing ourselves a disservice when we expect ourselves to always be empowered along by some strong inward spiritual impulse. No less a devoted desciple then Oswald Chambers himself wrote often on the subject of living in the banal every day without the aid of inspiration. In fact, contrary to popular contempory song and sermon, the fortitude to remain diligent during the low seasons of life is one mark of a mature saint. This is not 'giving up' but surrendering and trusting.
What little I know of personal revival I would say it isn't for a day, but for a lifetime. Sometimes obedience requires tenacious prayer, but often it calls for unadorned toil and labor without any uplifting sense of satisfaction. I see in myself, that when I need more spiritual enticement then Jesus himself in order to move forward, I am simply being hesitant to accept some mudane responsbility.
For instance a man may feel called to the mission field, but alas he has some financial debt to pay off first. Perhaps God will build in this fellow the kind of life that knows how to stay close to Jesus during the completion of the unspiritual task first, even if it takes tens years, before flooding his heart with something he is not righteously free to pursue. And, according to the perfect economy of God's wisdom and timing, such diligence over 'earthly' things, gives this man the character and discipline to fulfill the spiritual impulse placed in his heart. Of course this is just one 'scenario.'

We all have moments when we feel better than our best, and we say - "I feel fit for anything; if only I could be like this always!" We are not meant to be. Those moments are moments of insight which we have to live up to when we do not feel like it. Many of us are no good for this workaday world when there is no high hour. We must bring our commonplace life up to the standard revealed in the high hour.
Never allow a feeling which was stirred in you in the high hour to evaporate. Don't put your mental feet on the mantelpiece and say - "What a marvellous state of mind to be in!" Act immediately, do something, if only because you would rather not do it. If in a prayer meeting God has shown you something to do, don't say - "I'll do it"; do it! Take yourself by the scruff of the neck and shake off your incarnate laziness. Laziness is always seen in cravings for the high hour; we talk about working up to a time on the mount. We have to learn to live in the grey day according to what we saw on the mount.
Don't cave in because you have been baffled once, get at it again. Burn your bridges behind you, and stand committed to God by your own act. Never revise your decisions, but see that you make your decisions in the light of the high hour.
