a worrying faith

P
psalm1 Apr 17, 2008

I was working outside and caught myself thinking negative about something I have been standing in faith for for a long time.
When I realized what I was doing I traced my thoughts back to, believe it or not,my prayer of faith.
I began to look to heaven and it was as if I could See my own scenario from a distance.
I had a worrying faith.
It is easy to see others problems and dilemmas and formulate great prayers of faith. I can even see others get their victory before it is manifest.

But when dealing with personal issues and love ones it is hard to step outside the forest and look at the thing from heavens vantage point.

Whats worse I learned faith the hard way. Directly from intense battles .
Thank God for reminders!

A worrying faith is a formula for unanswered prayer. It is playing the problem like a video in one's mind and alternately praying to God for the answer or victory.
It yields little victory. With worrying faith victory comes by Gods great mercy, not by effectively praying.
The great discipline of the mind! It must be the ultimate enemy of the faith walk! It is so important to cast down every thought to the contrary of Gods word and bring captive every thought from the word of God!

Brother,

When you have loved ones whose eternal destiny is in jeopardy, it tests my faith like nothing else can.

Recently I had a dream in which I ventured close to a pit. This pit game me a sense of something dreadful from which there is no escape. In my dream I felt this would be hell and after I felt this, my heart just cried out to God to save our loved ones!

Do I worry? About the best I can do is ask the LORD to help me to not interfere with his workings in the lives of these people because I am almost given to panic when I realize that there is no escape from hell once there. But the reality is that people choose to go there! (The people I am talking about are those who know the TRUTH but are choosing their own way.)

OK, I will quit, but these are my thoughts on "worrying faith".
