I continue to get emails about last week's article - "A FALSE
HEALING REVIVAL?" Some people strongly agree, while others
are totally outraged that I would question the healings or other
manifestations that are occurring.

Personally I am deeply saddened that I even have to put out these
warnings. I get no pleasure out of it. In fact I hate having to talk
about this stuff. But what happens if something is seriously amiss
and yet no warnings are given? Is it right to be silent in such a
case? What about the precious sheep? Shouldn't they be warned?

What a lot of people may not realize is that the leader of the revival
Todd Bentley has a long history in the "Laughing/ Drunkenness"
movement - but also is a leading proponent of strange "Angel"
encounters (and I do mean 'strange'). Todd has openly promoted
these encounters for years - in fact he is well-known for leading
others into contact with these 'angels' too. This has been a big part
of his ministry for a very long time. And it is really no different now.

Here are a couple of extracts from Todd's 2003 article 'Angelic Hosts':

"So when I need a financial breakthrough I don't just pray and ask
God for my financial breakthrough. I go into intercession and
become a partner with the angels by petitioning the Father for the
angels that are assigned to getting me money: "Father, give me
the angels in heaven right now that are assigned to get me money
and wealth. And let those angels be released on my behalf. Let
them go into the four corners of the earth and gather me money."

Todd continues...
"EMMA, ANGEL Of The PROPHETIC
Now let me talk about an angelic experience with Emma. Twice
Bob Jones asked me about this angel that was in Kansas City in
1980: "Todd, have you ever seen the angel by the name of Emma?"
He asked me as if he expected that this angel was appearing to
me. Surprised, I said, "Bob, who is Emma?" He told me that
Emma was the angel that helped birth and start the whole prophetic
movement in Kansas City in the 1980s. She was a mothering-type
angel that helped nurture the prophetic as it broke out. Within a
few weeks of Bob asking me about Emma, I was in a service in
Beulah, North Dakota.
"In the middle of the service I was in conversation with Ivan and
another person when in walks Emma. As I stared at the angel
with open eyes, the Lord said, "Here's Emma." I'm not kidding.
She floated a couple of inches off the floor. It was almost like
Kathryn Khulman in those old videos when she wore a white dress
and looked like she was gliding across the platform. Emma appeared
beautiful and young - about 22 years old - but she was old at the
same time. She seemed to carry the wisdom, virtue and grace of
Proverbs 31 on her life. She glided into the room, emitting brilliant
light and colors. Emma carried these bags and began pulling gold
out of them. Then, as she walked up and down the aisles of the
church, she began putting gold dust on people... Within three
weeks of that visitation, the church had given me the biggest
offering I had ever received to that point in my ministry. Thousands
of dollars! Thousands!... During this visitation the pastor's wife (it
was an AOG church) got totally whacked by the Holy Ghost - she
began running around barking like a dog or squawking like a chicken
as a powerful prophetic spirit came on her. Also, as this prophetic
anointing came on her, she started getting phone numbers of
complete strangers and calling them up on the telephone and
prophesying over them... Then angels started showing up in the
church." [END QUOTE]

More recently, Todd stated that in one of his "Third Heaven" trips
he literally visited the small cabin where the apostle Paul lives in
Heaven. Paul told him that he wrote the book of Hebrews with the
personal help of Abraham the Patriarch: “The authorship isn’t clear
because it was Abraham and I; Abraham shared the content with
me.” Todd's 'Third Heaven' tales are full of such astonishing claims -
and of course, more angels. (See 'A Face To Face Encounter -

Lest anyone think that Todd may have changed his ways in recent
times, you should know that he is constantly mentioning his
'angels' in the current Florida meetings also. For instance, watch
from about the 6-minute mark of the following video clip-

In this video, Todd speaks of the angel that is going to "visit the
children" and then he begins more and more to jerk and laugh
uncontrollably. He prays that a 'drunken glory' will move across
the whole place - and you can see it happen in the audience.

This is all the same kind of stuff that Todd has been involved in
for years. There is nothing new in it. In fact, both Todd and Bob
Jones credit an angel that carries the "Winds of Change" for the
current healing revival - an angel that they say is still driving it. As
one young preacher commented who has been following the
Florida meetings closely, Todd seems to talk about his "healing
angel" even more than he talks about Jesus. Yes - exactly!

We are warned explicitly in Scripture that the devil "transforms
himself into an angel of light", and that in the Last Days will come
'Lying signs and wonders' that will "deceive if possible the very
elect." Do we really believe that the devil is unable to perform
miracles? Have we forgotten what the Bible clearly says?

Some make the point that Todd obviously had a strong healing
gift right from the start of his ministry - so some of the healings
in Florida may be genuinely from God. Yes - I agree that this is
possible - even likely. But how can we trust anything at all
coming from this source if it has become so tainted with all this
pollution? Do we want such a man laying hands on us and
imparting "anointings" or spirits into us?

I read a report from the UK yesterday that an English preacher
has brought Todd's anointing back from Florida and now it is
manifesting in his UK meetings: "Fire, a burning sensation,
was felt all over people’s bodies... There were outbursts of joy,
drunkenness and spontaneous healings throughout the meeting."

Other reports from the USA now speak of pastors having hands
layed on them to receive the "Florida anointing".

The Elijah List claims that on New Year's Eve, for 2008, God told
Bob Jones that "the third wave was coming." Todd asked Bob
what the third wave was. He said that, "Toronto was wave #1,
Pensacola was wave #2, and the third wave is the "Winds of
Change" -- this move of God. This move will be a global move,
traveling with signs and wonders all over the world! The third wave is here!"

The Florida meetings have now moved into an 8000-seat
auditorium. This "anointing" is spreading across the globe. Can
you see why I have cause for alarm, my friends?

I have had old friends that have fell into this man's web. It is indeed very serious, even to the point of falling away.

There have been a few famines that have swept across the Body of Christ in the last several years, and I believe, they began to desire anything that was wet, to quench their thirst, from any well or stream. They settled for something other than the one river, the stream of life that flows from Jesus' side alone. The only way to drink is from a simple an unhindered devotion to Him alone, otherwise we have mixture; muddy water.

Every new Christian should be taught that storms and famines are guaranteed in this life; it's just a matter of When, not if. Every new Christian must be taught, and believe, that Jesus will never forsake you, or leave you. NEVER!

When we settle for less, and begin to devote ourselves to the foul drippings of man, we lose Him, and be sure that Satan will be right at his heels, with smoke and mirrors.

You are doing this, in this exhortation, destiny Sweet. [b]"Let no man beguile you away from the simplicity that is in Christ alone."[/b]

Some will hear. Some enjoy the tickling. We know the giggles will end up in a dark hell, though, without hope or relief. "God have mercy on our brothers and sisters trapped here, and deliver them Lord Jesus. We have compassion on them, and ask you to intervene! Shine into these meetings, and SPEAK, as Moses spoke and delivered!"..amen.

I have not watched this video, nor do I plan to watch it. What is really sickening to me is that it is even posted on here. I know there is real need to expose such garbage, but I know first hand that this site does not allow posting of a podcast sermon that is from the true of the Word of God, for the reasons of, it is impossible to filter all podcast, how can we justify having such garbage that been discribed in this video on this site? Just an observation of a double standard. No offense to the one that posted it for I know it was for exposing reasons. What are we filtering with these rules? You can't watch the podcast that I am referring to in order judge for yourself whether it is truth or not because it was removed shortly after posting.

Run from Lakeland Fl.. Run from Rick Joyner.. Run from Benny Hinn.. Run from ALL laughing revivals.. This is the kind of fire that will burn you spritually and in a way that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. This is truly heartwrenching to witness.

I am seeing and hearing so much..perhaps I need to take notes for when I go to comment next time because I am so 'upset' that I am also wary about being 'set up' by my own anger..God is angry too..but He is perfect in His expression of this..I am still learning so when I calm down ,I will share(God Willing) what is being said by these folks,even the songsters who lead.. that perhaps some do not catch at first listen,also be watchful for the subtle hand movements oftimes mimic itching of ears and the like, or become clawlike,these folks hands form all types of demonic symbolic sign language..sorcery..scary..I am trained to see this not so subtle stuff,having been sent into dark places to rescue young souls from witchcraft,divination,the light of Christ exposing falsehoods on many levels..we can hear by the Holy Spirit what is actually being said when lying spirits are trying to seduce..etc,ad nasuem..God's search and rescue squadrons know the drill."

I share your concern and 'tempered anger'. Righteous anger overcomes me as well and I struggle with taming it or just letting it fuel the necessary warnings that need to be given. Nevertheless, it is out of a sincere and saddened heart that I post such things. This isn't an argument and if it were I would rather not be right about it. But the clarity of this deception and the gross and bold style that thumbs its nose to rightly divided Scripture is disturbing. What is even more saddening than Todd Bentley's blatant falsehood is the total lack of discernment on the part of our brothers and sisters who follow a man and stray from the truth of Scripture. We need to pray that eyes will be opened and these deceptions exposed. I hardly hear anything preached in terms of repentence of sin and cetainly not in these venues do you hear this as a means to God's glory through Christ.

Where in the Bible do you see the majority leading the charge in terms of discernment of God's truth?

Moses went up to the mountain for a short time and the majority persuaded Aaron, their leader, to make a false idol.

The prophets were lonely in their calling of discernment and had to follow extreme measures and give extreme warnings by God to shake a slumbering, deceived people.

John the Baptist was lonely in the desert but was given a few out of a nation filled with ritualistic religion and the wrong, flesh driven concept of Christ as the "Messiah". Although John was given to baptize some, he did so from a message of repentence of sin, there was no mass 'signs and wonders' for those who were baptized...except from the Son Himself. He was bold in his rebuke of the powers of that day calling on repentence, to his own demise.

Paul, Peter, John et al were constantly warring against the majority in the form of movements that sought to destroy the work of the Spirit. They stayed in humble settings, did not profit from their annointing, and preached a message of obedience that isn't legalistic but born out of a love for Christ and the truth of His Word. They stayed true to the foundation of Scripture while finishing it for our benefit.

This is solid and worth hearing for everyone. A riveting expose' of the charismatic renewal's self loving gospel of greed and control, and the excess's that led us into opening the gate wide for the wolves to feast. Much bible, and authentic compassion and indignation for what we are facing now in Florida, and around the world, preached the old fashioned way; the BIBLE!

I recently conversed with friends of mine [30 year Christians] in Santa Rosa, California, where Todd Bentley came through a month or two ago.

He spoke at a meeting where the attendance was about one hundred and fifty. An offering was taken, and people began to throw money onto the stage. My friend became grieved, and left.

Bentley bragged, as the "anointing" had brought him $40,000.00, in about 2 hours.

In a moment of time, Satan brought Jesus to all of the Kingdoms of the world. "All of these, will I give you , if you fall down, and worship me."

Bentley doesn't lie about everything. He does have magnetic power to gain wealth as he asks for it.

This is sweeping the world.[ see post in Netherlands, where meetings of 15,000 are happening.] God knows where else....

Like birth pangs, we will see this more and more frequently, with a greater intensity of deception, with greater and more stunning miracles and power, so that,

[b]If it were possible, even the very elect[/b] will be deceived.

I believe that the Devil knows also, that the [b]TRUE[/b] holy Church is coming with the Tree of Healing for all Nations, and that The Son of God will reveal Himself, in them, [b]with greater works[/b] Than Jesus' walk on Earth.

Satan is terrified, and as he always has done, so he does today; sending a pre-emptive strike of lying wonders to callous souls to the true, when He comes, to be Glorified in his Saints.

God is also using these heretics to divide; the profane from the holy. Bentley, I am sorry to say, and his followers are just being bundled together, as tares, for the fire. I am not happy about this, nor should we be.

It is necessary though, that heresies come, that the holy and right would be revealed. let's pray for mercy though, that not too many will have to be taken.

Remember Abraham over Sodom, as he begged the Lord for the same.
