Luke 12:5-12
5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

8 "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. 9 But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. 10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

11 "When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say."

Isa 43:1-4

1 John 4:18-21
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

19 We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Who is this scripture talking about in particular here? His brother. Jesus, yes that brother in particularly.

Rom 8:15-31

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

We should preach what God tells us to preach, Jeremiah preached doom and gloom for 40 years.

no converts

no revival

hated by all but by God

A true man of God

There are different calls for different preachers/prophets.

The danger is if you do as israel

2Ch 36:14 Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much ~~[b]~~after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the LORD which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. [/b]
2Ch 36:15 And the LORD God of their fathers ~~[b]~~sent to them by his messengers[/b], rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:
2Ch 36:16 But ~~[b]~~they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.[/b]
2Ch 36:17 Therefore he brought upon them the king of the Chaldees, who slew their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion upon young man or maiden, old man, or him that stooped for age: he gave them all into his hand.

We need to watch we dont mock Gods messengers and he gives us up

God has no compassion for such people

You see this is not much of a hope, Gods children, his elect people was judged. I know we dont like that, but it is so, and god is the same today. Then follows the "good news" , but not for the people God judged, but for the following generations.....

But if you hear his voice today....harden not your heart... God may kill you and leave you in the desert, far from the promised land. Let us rise up and fear God and serve him

Jer 24:5-7

7 And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

Ezek 11:19-12:1

Then the vision I had seen went up from me, 25 and I told the exiles everything the LORD had shown me.

I think he referring to the coming Messiah don't you?

but do you believe those who mocked Gods messengers and prophets are part in the messiah?

or perhaps did they die grievous deaths given over by God to babylon?

it says so...God gave them over... Dan 1:2

and ONE of the reasons was they mocked Gods messengers. And sadly many do so even today, and God will give them over also.

so we need to be warned and diligently seek out what is from God or not.

With all the due respect I can muster you are not addressing anything I have said about not giving hope (Jesus) along with the GLOOM AND DOOM just as all the prophets did. Until you get ready to address that issue please talk and address someone else who only wants to hear all they have to look forward to is GLOOM AND DOOM and hear the lie they are without hope.

well of course we should giv ehope brother, but if you would go into a bookstore, or just go over the internet, i promise on 95% of ALL christian sites, tv shows, radio programs, books, what ever...their message is

Positive

hope

fun

love

they are all true.....

but so are doom and gloom

There is no hope without repentance

that is what we need to tell them.

Show me on the first post on the post I am about ot mention and there is many. Tell me where that hope is in many of these threads. Just to name one and there are many, "finiancial collaspe continues". Brother they ain't no hope there in the first post, no Jesus, there is nothing but fear which is the opposite of faith in bunch of these threads you can look for yourself, anyone can. Post something about Jesus and hope and nobody is interested in it. Only Doom and Gloom. That's my insight you can keep your if you like.

There is no hope in this world, in this world Jesus said we would have tribulation.

That is a promise.

But perfect love casteth out fear...

This world and all that is in it will burn, and the worst time ever will soon be upon us, our only hope is to be totally sold out to God and walk in truth.

the only hope is Jesus

If lets say a world wide starvation, financial collapse or whatever may come...

do you think this is not under Gods control for his purposes?

If Sweden economy collapse, or america...that is gods working...

He is sovereign and his purposes will come to pass

we need not fear brother, we have Jesus, we have eternal life NOW.

That is our hope, not a corrupted diabolic financial system

I think if we are christians, if we follow Jesus and believe him, one reason we dont need to fear anything is no one can harm me.

No financial collapse can hurt me, sure i might be homeless, out of a job, die a painful death of starvation... but that cant hurt me

I have eternal life in HIM.

and no matter what happened, if all doom and gloom is right, still i rejoice

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

If you love God whatever happened we are glad, we know god will bring good out of it.

Amen, this is the hope we have. A blessed Hope. I can't think of one any better.
He came to give us not only life but life more abundantly. The devil comes to kill steal and destroy all that has not put their faith in him. It has to be by grace because I know it is not possible for me to give HIM all the honor and the glory that He deserves for what He did for me on the cross. Anything that I do, it will certainly not be in my strength but His strength that He provides for me in bringing HIM honor and glory. This IS the message of the gospel.
