Please pray for Jeff

I know a few people on here know our church song leader, Jeff Wooldridge. He's a faithful servant of the Lord and we've been so blessed having him as our song leader at Maranatha. Jeff has glaucoma and Tuesday morning around nine (central time). Jeff is having eye surgery to release pressure from behind of his eyes. I don't know the technical term for the surgery. It's a simple procedure but it does have an element of danger in it.

I would appreciate your prayers for this brother tomorrow morning.

Prayed...Sorry to hear about this. I will continue to pray for him.

There is blood behind the retina of Jeff's eye and he can only see light out of it. He will stay in the hospital for a few more days while a specialist tries to find out what is wrong. Jeff cannot see out of his other eye very well at all, so please pray for God to touch him and bring healing to this eye.

Here is the latest news on Jeff.

This morning the doctors said that the prognosis is not good and it looks like he will lose his sight in that eye. The doctors cannot operate for two weeks and in that time if the blood does not coagulate it will damage the retina resulting in blindness. This is his 'good' eye. The vision in his other eye is very poor.

A miracle is needed. And our God is able! Please pray!

Praying! My dad has had some issues with his eyes over the past couple of years. He needed several operations and was usually given a bad prognosis. My dad is in his 50s and much too young to lose his eyesight. The Lord heard our cries and my dad's condition stabilized and he has not lost any eyesight since. Praise God for sparing your dad's eyesight! That is an encouraging testimony of God hearing the cries of his children! Jeff is 32 and although I know he has been bracing and preparing himself for this, it would be a very hard trial for a young man like him to go through. Though I do believe that Jeff, whatever trials God takes him through, will come forth as gold tried and refined in the fire.

My wife and I will be praying for Jeff! May the Lord do what the doctors cannot.
