Site Change: Centered In Screen?

sermonindex May 30, 2008

Saints,

I have put a change on the template of the site so it centers in the screen. As screen sizes are getting bigger on computers this is something I think that needs to be done. What are your thoughts?

I might try and put some light design in the background to make it more palatable to the eye.

any thoughts?

Yes, I definitely noticed it. It makes the website itself look a little smaller. I know it's different on everyone's computer but I have about 3 inches on the left and right side of the template to the side of the window. If that makes sense...

It doesn't bother me any, I just thought I would let you know.

It was a good move, at least for my computer. I, personally, think the sides are ok as they are and sort of frame what we really need to be looking at. I wouldn't want to see anything on the sides that would distract from the message.

This centering seems to be the norm these days anyway for most websites.

It looks great.

Yes I agree. I will try and get something of a very "light pattern" in part or all of the background, but I do think its more "framed" and easier to look at, especially on larger screens. I am working off a mac laptop which has a widescreen but still is small compared to a larger higher resolution monitor.

thanks for the honest feedback.
