Buddhists see this and twirl their fingers over their ears: "They're cuckoo!" Brethren, things like this happen quite frequently in many of our Pentecostal, charismatic, and non-denominational churches in mundane towns and cities throughout this country that never make it to YouTube. Stuff like this goes on every week to some degree. High powered running like madmen when the music starts, flopping around on the ground, hollering like banshees, women who are to remain silent in church according to Paul are now shrieking with laughter and shouting in tongues without interpretation as the Pastor stands by and smiles.
It's been out of order and a terrible embarassment for decades; what we are seeing here is merely a grand-scale expose with all the trappings and trimmings and bells and whistles. Having grown up in the early years of my walk in idependant Pentecostal and non-denominational Spirit-filled churches, I am not surprised in the least to see these things in manifest. I used to do them, and conduct meetings of the same dynamic. The manifestations we witness in these videos are not too extra-ordinary to the regular Spirit-filled experience, just here they are seen totally unleashed. They are the thunderous outbreaks of soul that occur from time to time in these types of churches, precipitated often by music and energetic prayer and fasting with the hopes of experiencing exactly this type of phenomenoa. The praying and fasting eventually accomplish their objective by projecting a wave of soul power, which, in turn, is unleashed on target with the following signs and wonders and amazements in full-blown splendor. This is when the purported revival (or, at least, what is termed an "outpouring") breaks out.
