Please Pray For Us

R
roaringlamb Jun 27, 2008

It is with deep humility that I ask all of you pray for my wife and me.

She has said that she wants a divorce, and it seems that satan does very much have hold of her heart right now. This would not be a Biblical divorce at all, and I am concerned for her soul.

I cannot blame this on her as I have added my own sin into this, and repented of it.

Please pray that God would change her heart and raise our marriage from death to life for His glory.

Thank you friends, and God willing I will post updates on how things progress.

May God be Merciful and restore your Marriage, and draw you both unto Himself.

brother Patrick,

I've been praying for you and your wife and will continue to pray for God to do great and mighty things which will glorify His Name. May He give you an increased measure of grace and faith for this trial.

I just wanted to bump this up, as only God can salvage our marriage, and draw my wife back to Himself.

Thank you for your prayers.

Just a hope of encouragement, God restore me and my husband together, ... if God can do it for me. He can do it for you and your wife. Forgiveness is the Key for one and forgetting what is behind and the rest take it to God daily keep your heart open to God.

Had not seen this, brother ... hang in there,

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Eph 5:25

Praying earnestly Patrick.

Just to let everyone know, my wife on Sunday was set on talking to an attorney, and told me to expect papers this week.

God has intervened in this, and no papers have been filed. She has not been to an attorney either.

As providence has it, she does not want to do anything until she talks to her pastor. He is on sabbatical until July 26th.

Last Sunday she also said that she would not and saw no reason in continuing counseling. This week, she agreed to finish the four months we agreed upon.

Lastly and most importantly, God has so broken my heart for my wife, and I am appalled by my anger, bitterness, and judgmental attitude that I had towards her. While there was no physical abuse, or adultery, the toll my constant snide comments took has been too much.

May I issue a warning to husbands here-
Do not try to conform your wife into the image of what you think she should be. She is His and He will work, and needs no help from us.

I have learned this the hard way, and God willing I will have a second chance.

Thank you all for your prayers, it means much to me, and honestly I can tell when someone is praying, as there is a lift in my spirit, and hope.

Thanks brother...you are so right. I can testify that I can be this way to my wife, expect to much from her and forget that God is working in her life and I need to stay out and love her as Christ would want me too. Thanks for saying this, it is such a reminder for me to stay focused on Christ and not worry if my wife is or isn't readying or studying.

Praise the Lord
Mike

I will pray for you tonight. God bless

Hi roaringlamb...

My wife and I are praying for you and your wife. My next to oldest sister and her husband are going through a similar situation. Please remember them in your prayers.

May you be encouraged in the close proximity of Christ.

Please keep praying, I was reminded this morning that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God,

He alone can do this!

Thank you all, I am finding it difficult to "stand still and see the salvation of the LORD"

But I do know that "none that wait on the LORD will be ashamed"

And I know that I have the prayers of my family which is like a large buoy in this sea of trial.

Thank you all!

I am praying. When all seem to fail, one answered prayer gives us hope to keep going on.
God is working, even in the darkness of trails. Even now we can see his grace.

Rest in Me oh soul
my resting place is safe
Let your thoughts dwell on my saving grace
When it is to much bear then lay it at my feet
Come and rest oh soul in Me
and know I am your resting place
When pain is cutting deep, and your soul weeps
then cry out to me, pour out your sorrow
and find rest again in me
when all seems lost and hard
Know I AM IAM, and nothing is to hard for me
so come and rest in me
and your hope and joy again in the saving work that I have done for you
Know my power and my grace, know the cross that saved you
For you can praise me in this trail
for I am good and do not fail
I am God and I am with you
trust not in your thoughts nor your ways
but come and rest in my holy word
Know I am God, Know I am with you. Look not to this world, but again to the cross that bring all joy no matter trail faces you
I am good I am God. I am holy and my words are true
so come quickly and rest in me.

Wanted to bump this up, and also ask that for those praying to pray specifically that my wife would return home.

PM me for her name if you would like.

It seems the Lord is convicting her in this area at the moment as she has a few times in recent conversations made the statement, "I am not coming home" without me mentioning her coming home at all.

As always, pray as the Lord leads, but just so everyone knows.
