Why does God allow the Devil

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1Pe 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

We know Jesus defeated the Devil.Why does he still have rights?

It seems his biggest deception is right within the church of our day.

Do you believe tares and wheat are growing right along side of one another in our churches?

Isn't the devil still working in the saved people through there flesh because they have not embraced the cross?

The Bible doesn't tell us why God allows the devil. If God wanted us to know this He would have told us. Best just leaving it there in my opinion. Extended thought on this is dangerous.

Satan has no rights in God's kingdom, but remember he is the god of this world.

The devil works on the flesh by tempting us and stoking up the passions of our fallen nature e.g. envy, anger, jealousy, greed, lust etc. This is the only part of us that he can appeal to. Satan works [b]on[/b] us rather than [b]in[/b] us.

I don't think it is dangerous to study this out, I think it is more dangerous not to.

Re 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Jesus is the 1st man in heaven to overcome Satan. We have to overcome Satan in Jesus Christ. Satan has to be allowed by God to rule in the air until all the body of Christ has overcome. We also see in Revelations Chapter 20 that Satan can not be bound for a thousand years until all the elect of God have overcome Him by the blood of the Lamb. Then he will be loose for a season to try and deceive those who were not part of the 1st resurrection. Then he will be cast into the Lake of Fire forever and also those whose names were not written in the Lamb’s book of life.

I think we need to keep our focus on the genuine Born Again experience and many of our problems will work themselves out. Anything else is a stop-gap. The long term solution is to return on a large scale to a Bible Based Born Again message. If the message is not welcome in the Churches seek God for a door of utterance and see if He might send to the highway and hedges. :-)

Why does God allow the Devil

God equipped Adam for the test in the Garden before ever allowing his obedience to be tested. In Job's case, God pointed to Job and asked Satan if he had considered Job?

There is a greater purpose in all that God is doing than we can possibly understand. But I think that God continually demonstrates that obedient children destroy the works of the Devil. Christ crushed the head of the Serpent through his obedience. We can pull down strongholds.

I think in part the enemy has made some accusations against God's creation that God is going to utterly confound in the end. A close look at Satan's conversation with God in Job is to the effect that the obedient servants of God serve Him for some 'gain' they can get from it and not from a willing and loving heart. God has demonstrated unto the principalities and powers in the heavenly places that when Satan is given his best shot at bringing down one that loves God; they will still in the end declare, "Though God slay me yet will I trust in Him" and go away rejoicing for having be counted worthy to suffer. That is a million miles from, "Do this or that and he will curse you to your face..."

When I started this thread my "Why does God allow the devil" was not a complaint about God by no means!!

Jesus said in Joh 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

I was seeing that Christ overcame the devil and we in Christ are to overcome Him also. He had nothing in Christ and we are to be all of Christ so that he can have nothing in us.

When Christ and the devil had the war of the Cross, Satan thought he had won, wrong, there was no contest, Christ won hands down.

If we give a mind to Satan the war is between us and him, but if we have, the mind of Christ and "Christ in us the Hope of Glory," who has already won the war?

If Christ and the devil had a fight right now, who do you think would win. We are Satan proof.
Christ is to Satan like rat poison to a scrounging, sniffing rat.

We have the victory in Christ, if the devil comes to us it is only because the Father has allowed it to make us more like Christ, as He did with Paul, "My Grace is sufficient",

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
