Anyone want to share test.

Good to hear God is moving in your life and in your church.

You say you saw God move in power? How?

I believe people are interested, but don't always reply. That does happen.

What was the teaching about?

Do share, should be good.

God bless.

PRAISE THE NAME OF THE LIVING GOD!!!
Thank you enid for your reply, i guess you have restored my faith a little now! ha ha..
How did i see GOD move in power you asked. Well, besides the slain people by THE HOLY GHOST and the repenting sinners, shocked and weeping.
And not discounting the healing of a marriage and a family torn apart by a vicious rape given words like soothing balm straight from THE FATHERS HEART. Plus a healing or two..
I think that the real palpable sense of GODS presence at ELIM PENTECOSTAL in Blackburn Lancs was the real evidence of POWER for me. Yesterday was even more awesome!!
Would you like to share testamony with me..
Yours in HIS endless GRACE,
Jamesglory

Blackburn Lancs? Lived in Lancashire about 12 years ago, in Bolton. Never visited Blackburn.

As for sharing a testimony, it is nowhere on par with yours.

I'm not seeing anything like you are seeing happening.

Just more like prayer times that have a time of tears, and not knowing why.

I am, more than anything else, seeking for a fear of God in the church. It seems missing.
There is more a fear of what is going on in the economy than there is of God.

Proverbs 1v7, 'The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge...'

How we need that.

Hope your faith is restored a little more now.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Dearest Enid, how I echoe your prayer! It is indeed worrying that there is clearly such an absence of the fear of God in the modern church (so called church). I also believe that this has in turn caused many believers to become slack in their faith. No longer are folk striving to enter through the narrow gate since they have no fear of what will happen should they stop striving. No longer does the cross make them weep since they neither fear their wretched state nor see that it was the only begotten son of Mighty HOLY!! God who hung from that cross to bear our shame.
It is no wonder that the Bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom since if we fail to fear God, everything else collapses about it.
Indeed, let us both pray that God would show us and our perishing fellows how we should fear him.

PHILIPIANS4:4 REJOICE.,
Good day to you enid and greetings in the name of the LIVING GOD!
First let me say that your test. is as relevant and as awe inspiring and important as mine or anyone elses for that matter! Our GOD is a relational GOD, having sent HIS ONLY SON to die for each and everyone of us personally and with the most incredible degree of intimacy too!
So, if HE died for me and all that that entails, (being of the utmost importance to me,) then, you being my brother or sister in CHRIST, quite simply have to have the same degree of importance and relevance attatched to your goodself and of course, your testamony.
So... I am oh so interseted to hear your story and your journey, as I am anyones, because they all bring GLORY TO GOD and exite and encourage the thirsting Christian soul! PRAISE HIS WONDERFUL NAME!
Now to your comment on 'THE FEAR OF THE LORD..,
I agree that there doesnt seem to be any fear of the LORD. Yet how does one define fear of the LORD? Is it a willingness to obedient sacrifice? Or perhaps a sincere respect to the awesome old testament aspect of GOD, whose lightnings and Earth shaking power are so wonderfully described in some of the Psalms?
Is it linked to 'working our salvation out with fear and trembling?
Whenever I read some of the reports of the famous evangelist missions to Africa or other places, that were at those times primitive and riddled with superstition, under the power of witch doctors etc. ie: rees Howells or Finney and the others, I read about the fear and power of GOD falling on thousands of people at a time and sinners crying out for mercy and salvation as the HOLY SPIRIT brought them through..
Awesome stuff eh? I dont know what theologians would say the fear of the LORD is exactly, but indeed as you have so aptly quoted; it surely must be the begining of knowledge and wisdom.
It would be great Enid if loads of other people read our conversation and a thread stared that fed and enthralled us!!
I look forward to your next post.
Father, we thank and bless you for conversation and discussion
We bless you that, though our journeys may be much varied, our destination is certainly not disimilar.
Thank you that as we journey and grow in you, we attain a most healthy respect and fear for you and the awesome power of who YOU ARE.
Through JESUS the LIVING LAMB OF GOD, WORTHY AND WONDERFUL. Amen

Blessings Jamesglory

First, my name is always a source of confusion for people. I am a sister in the Lord, married with 3 children, and I am the mother of those children, not the father.

Speaking about the fear of the Lord, the word of God tells us in 2 Cor 5v11 that knowing therefore the terror of the Lord we persuade men etc.

Why is that? The verse before tells us. We must all, that is all, appear before the judgment seat of Christ.

As it is, I see and hear in the churches, things that show not only no fear of God, but a rejection on Him and His word.

I hear 'Christians' swearing, using the Lord's name in vain, disrespecting parents, being involved with the world, the list could go on.

Your perspective is pretty up, mine is almost ascetism, but not quite, so there is hope!

However, I do wonder how God views all He sees taking place in both the Church and the world.

I do continue to pray, because I know God does hear and answer our prayers, and tells us in Luke 18v1 to always pray and not lose heart.

God is to be worshipped and glorified because He is worthy.

God bless.

GLORY TO GOD! PRAISE HIS WONDERFUL NAME!
Thank you for your reply and I would contend that as our GOD is a personal saviour, Your story is just as valid and exiting and relevant as mine, or aanyone elses for that matter., cos we all matter!!!
I agree fully though with your angle on THE FEAR OF GOD.
The almost too familiar way that people talk of GOD ALMIGHTY as if HE was there like a schoolfriend or the like.
The way even church taught people are often swearing and taking the LORDSNAME in vain.
I try to maintain a balance between, THE ALMIGHTY CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE and my KING and greatly to be PRAISED SAVIOUR, whom I can share the innermost me with LOVE and understanding, thanks to GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT, who dwells in me!
Oh PRAISE AND GLORY TO THE WORTHY MIGHTY LAMB OF GOD!!
To think that the same POWER that raised CHRIST FROM THE DEAD IS AT WORK IN ME, Is awesome!!
And Enid evenmore, thanks to the ANOINTING OF THE SPIRIT,I can drink deeply of the RIVERS OF LIFE........ Thank you GOD
I think the fear of GOD is reverencial obedience and sacrifice, in line with HIS WORD.
Job1:1 He was a man who feared GOD and shunned evil.
Pray with me that the church captures this foundational truth again enid.
Worship was once again amazing and SPIRIT FILLED and led on sunday at my Church. The POWER of GOD is causing quite a stir.
Anyway time to go , bless you and your kids.
IN HIM...... jamesglory..
