Heb. 11:1 faith is the substance of things hoped for.--- and the evidence of things not seen. put that together with Ps. 42:5 why art thou cast down oh my soul, and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in Godfor I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance (Presence) Ps. 16:11 Thou wilt show me the path of life, in thy presense is fullness of joy and at thy right hand pleasures forever more. to sum it all up by these 3 scriptures as we hope in the Lord which is the excercise of faith, we praise him as we wait on him. faith is the substance of things hoped for. we hope for deliverance and for God's presense to comfort and sustain us. at his right hand are not only pleasures but they are for evermore. God is determined to keep us and to intercede for us that we not only have what we need materialy, but spiritually. one of those being joy. our hope in him is to sustain us through everything we go through. we can praise him as that action which has hope for all the other wonderful graces he will send our way by believing faith. Our job is to keep from the worldly sin in the meantime. grace is a big word-- Rom. 5:5 hope maketh no shame for the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. without the Spirit we can have no true peace. It is a fruit from him. Gal. 5:22-23.
