I would like to submit a tract I have been working on for your review. Some of you may recognize the Francis Schaeffer influence on this tract. I have been reading his Trilogy lately and it has inspired me to write this. Your feedback is appreciated.WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BELIEVE?He who believes on the Son has everlasting life... John 3:36 1: Do you believe that God exists and that he is a personal God, and that Jesus Christ is God - remembering that we are not talking about the word or idea god, but of the infinite, personal God who is there?But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 2: Do you acknowledge that you are guilty in the presence of this God - remembering that we are not talking about guilt-feelings, but true moral guilt?And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God? And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20:123: Do you believe that Jesus Christ died in space and time, in history, on the cross? And that when He died His substitutionary work of bearing God's punishment against sin was fully accomplished and complete?And through Him(Jesus) having made peace through the blood of His cross, it pleased the Father to reconcile all things to Himself through Him? Colossians 1:20 For He has made Him(Jesus) who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:214: On the basis of God's promises in His written word, the Bible, do you cast yourself on Jesus Christ as your personal Savior - not trusting in anything you yourself have ever done or ever will do?But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:4-55: Make no mistake, the promise of God that, "He who believes in the Son has eternal life..." rest upon;a. God being there.b. Christ being God (the second person of the Trinity) whose death therefore has infinite value.c. My not coming presumptuously in thinking I can save myself but casting myself on the finished work of Jesus Christ and the written promises of God.My faith is simply the empty hands by which I accept God's free gift.Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9Therefore repent and convert so that your sins may be blotted out... Acts 3:19 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 6: You can be forgiven of your debt of sin and enter a relationship with the living God right now. Just humbly speak your heart to God, He is faithful to hear your request....a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. Psalm 51:17 9: Read the Bible daily, obey what you read, and you will never fail.I have hidden Your Word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.
