Credit Card Junk Mail can be used to evangelize?

sermonindex Jul 28, 2008

I don't about you, but I for one am tired of getting junk mail from the credit card companies. I usually shred them. But lately, I would send them back, because they have a no postage necessary stamped envelope. I used to send coupons and such to see how they like it, but the other day I had a thought why don't I send a gospel tract in their envelope? They will pay for the envelope back to them and you never know who will get it. I will send the unfilled out application or something I can put the tract in, so it doesn't show through the envelope and get tossed at first glance. If everyone can do this, who knows who might come to the Lord and encouraged!

No effort needed, just put a tract in their envelope and pray that it will find the right person! Easy! So why not?

Why not use what they intend to entrap many into debt, but use it for good and the glory of God.

Some thoughts?

reformer,
I have heard of people doing this to all junk mail when there is a reply envelope included. I suppose if you feel real generous, you might actually put a stamp on it instead...

Thanks for the reminder - I had forgotten about this.
