Anybody: Info of the so called "Dream Center" and Matthew Barnett?

In sweden there is a charismatic conference which features a Pastor named Matthew Barnett of the Dream Center LA. His ministry and the Church which he pastors claims to be fulfilling a social gospel to the poor and needy.

Does anyone on this forum have any info about this pastor and the Church.

I kind of got the feeling (from listening to his preaching) that he is a health and wealth preacher but with a focus on helping the poor and needy.

If anyone knows anything concerning this please fill in the blanks.

I am familiar with the work out there and a huge work they are doing. As far as the preaching goes, I am not entirely clear.
Tommy Barnett is Matthew's father and I attended a meeting with Tommy Barnett about five years ago. His preaching, as far as my young christian mind was concerned at that time, was good and thought provoking. He ended his speaking with a call to sow into his ministry and he prayed a hundred fold blessing over that 'seed.' My wife and I 'sowed' forty dollars and believed by faith that this blessing would come to us. As time went on, and on, and on I grew exceedingly concerned that this was not happening (the blessing part) and eventually blew it off.

It appears your first impressions are correct in stating they do preach a health and wealth teaching. However, I have not heard his son preach...

Their dream center is doing quite a large work in that city with the poor, homeless, widows and orphans. They do not turn away anybody in any condition from their sanctuary on sundays, as far as I know.
