Hey all,
Last night was the first time I was able to join in prayer and was extremely encouraged in the Lord. It is awesome, humbling to hear the hearts of His saints pour out their hearts before the Lord.
I thought it would be awkward with the whole phone issue and not being in person, but really, apart from the occasional background noises, it was edifying and very comfortable.

There was 5 points brought up by Merle Weaver and want to just highlight the first, for thought;
1. The opportunity of prayer -
James 5:17-18. Saints we have an incredible opportunity to pray.
Merle mentioned three things associated with prayer and very vital to its benefit.

Abide - John 15:17
Agree - Matt 18:19
Avail - James 5:17-18

Thank you for offering this...

Welcome Rich. These times are awesome. God works many of the things He brings in prayer during the week into the messages the speakers bring. I think one of the previous meetings is on the site along with notes as people post them.

I also thought it might be awkward. God has arranged each week for me to be alone in the house (house closet?). I have as much freedom as I do alone with the exception of pacing which I have not been moved to do. I lock my door. If you join the google group, there are e-mails. We have all thanked God for the blessing of such a group (!!!!) of like- minded/like-hearted believers to join together with.

No one should miss this. Think of our puny prayer lives (His view). What do we have not because we ask not? Growth in prayer. Personal cleansing. Focused prayer for God to visit His people in revival. Yes, may no one miss this opportunity to enter into such corporate prayer.

Greetings in Jesus name.

Until Brother Greg returns from his travels I will post a link on here, each week, where the prayer calls can be downloaded.

There are some things on my heart I would like to share which have become stronger following the last prayer call and more so after downloading and listening to the call.

First some practical (more logistical type) pointers.

1.\tI have been blessed with the constant flow of prayer, earnest prayer and so forth. However, let us all be mindful that on a given call there are typically somewhere around 20 participants. With this in mind, I believe we should be careful not to pray too long at a time, maybe 1-3 minutes would be ideal.
2.\tAlso it would be good to give short spaces (maybe 15-30 seconds) before praying additional times, to give others who have not prayed yet an opportunity to pray. I certainly am not interested in making this methodical, and want to leave His Spirit have free course, but I believe each of us must be careful not to dominate. This point is for me as well as anyone else.
3.\tThere is a lot of distracting background audio at times. I would suggest using the mute button on your phone, when you are not speaking, especially if there is the possibility of other noise happening in the room. If your phone does not have a mute button, pressing *6 will accomplish the same thing, then pressing *6 again will un-mute you.

Secondly, on a more spiritual nature. I believe the Lord would have us to seek Him personally that we might be all He wants us to be, and that there would be nothing that would hinder our prayers. I am not against praying for revival for our land(s), but I feel the great need of the hour is that He would make us a burning and shining light, and start the work in us.
