Please pray!

Dear Friends,
Please pray together with me concerning a friend of mine's granddaughter, a 13 year old girl named Justine. She was just diagnosed with Lymphoma cancer in her leg. Her and her mother are in Seattle right now for surgery and treatments. The young lady is a Christian, but she is scared and would like for the Lord to give her strength through all of this.

I would very much appreciate you prayers for this situation.

Thank you and God Bless,
Lori

Thank you Chris!
Just to let anyone know, Justine had her first dose of chemo on Sunday. This 5'5", 90 lb, 13 yr old girl, whom the doctors found a lump on her leg which ended up being lymphoma, is having a spinal tap, some bone marrow removed, and chemo therapy placed directly into her vein into her neck.

Her first treatment was very hard on her making her both weak and sick.

I appreciate any prayers for this young lady, and I am praying that it is a testimony for everyone on the grace of the Lord for both strength and (if in His will) healing.

Thanks so much
Lori

Praying for Justine to find strength and peace in the Lord Jesus. Also for her family.

Thank you Alan for your concern and your prayers!

Just to update anyone,
Justine has received Chemo treatments in both a port in her neck and is receiving them in her back as well, she has been sick since the first treatment and they are giving her steriods to encourage some kind of appetite. Her mother said that when she is awake she is sick, and that when she is not with her daughter all she can do is cry.

My friend is going over to Seattle to visit with them this weekend, please also pray that she will not be overwhelmed by all of this and will be a blessing for both her granddaughter and her daughter in law.

Justine has 2 other younger siblings, one could not go visit her as she had come down with an virus and they could not let her see her sister. I know that had to be difficult for a 9 year old to digest.

Also her father is unable to take off any time off of work or else he will lose his health insurance.

Thank you for praying together with me about this struggling family.

Sincerly,
Lori

Hi all,
I just wanted to let you in on an update. Justine has been receiving chemo treatments now once a week, she will have to be in Seattle for 3 months receiving treatments every week. Her 5'3" frame has gone from 86 lbs to 75 lbs. Her grandmother visited her this past weekend and said she was doing "ok". She is not eating much, but she is not as sick as she was when they first began. Thank the Lord for that!

Also, her father was on a 6 month probationary period for his job, and they decided to fire him as they felt the concern for his daughter might make him "less safe". Which could be a blessing in disguise. I guess the extended family has told them they would help with the month to month bills and then the father would be free for him and the other two children to go and stay in Seattle with the mother and Justine. Which is an answer to prayer.

Thank you so much for your prayers and concerns, I and her grandmother appreciate every one of them. By the way, I believe it is a great witness to a "marginal" Christian that folks around the country would pray together for God's will to be done, and for help for this family! THANK YOU!!!

Sincerely,
In Christ,
Lori
