Surprisingly (?) quick answer to prayer!

To all of those who read what I shared about my situation in another thread earlier this week, I just want to say that the first answer to prayer wasn't far away... :-D I won't go into details right now, but I believe important things have happened today. First, during my time of prayer this morning, God began to show me the reason why I have become so stagnant i my walk. It may very well be THE reason, but at least a VERY big one. It wasn't that it came like a hammer blow from the sky, or like a tremendous vision painted in strong colors, but He sure has a way of showing us what He means... He gave such a perfect picture of how I have been acting. Let's say it was pretty clear... :-PThen, when I was preparing lunch, I came to talk about sprirtual things to a guy in my dormitory. He has been a Christian for two years or something, and he is kind of a thinker/observer. We haven't talked that openly and honestly before, even though I have several times thought that we probably would have a lot to give each other. The thing is, opening up is always a bit difficult because you don't know if the other person will understand. And, until today, I have not seen him as the kind of person to tell me what I did wrong. I guess you see where I'm going... Yes. I'm talking spiritual pride and self-righteousness. Big-time. It didn't dawn upon me until after we had finished our conversation, but then...I cannot thank God enough for this day. Even though this was just a first step, I believe it was a very important one. Many thanks to those who have prayed with me. Let us also give HIM thanks! And for those who God prompts to do it, please continue to pray for further breaking in my life. It is well needed! With much gratitude,Rikard

I guess you see where I'm going... Yes. I'm talking spiritual pride and self-righteousness. Big-time. It didn't dawn upon me until after we had finished our conversation, but then...Praise God brother Rikard for your willingness to share this with us. This truly brings glory to God and yes I pray that you become less and God becomes more and that your life is consummed with His purposes. Keep praying to Him and he will show you more until like Paul 'wretched man that I am'.
