This has really been in my heart lately. There is alot that concerns me right now. How can we be a repairer of the wall if we run from it? How can we stand in the gap if we take ourselves out of the gap? I'm speaking of christians who refuse to get involved at all with backslidden christians, prodicals and unbelievers. Maybe this is just a calling for a few. If you cannot stay in a church like this without stumbling yourself maybe you are not called to it. For some if you see compromise in your church I do not think that leaving is the way to go. Some of these professing christians may be unsaved possibly but alot of them are calves from the stall. Maybe they have just never been taught the right way and need someone like yourself to be a brother or sister to them and help them there without hammering them to death.
I'm concerned about alot of things right now like the young people who attend these churches. What will happen to them if you leave or refuse to stand in the gap? The same thing that upsets you upsets them. What young person doesn't want to see a role model? It's one thing if they are misbehaving but what if the leadership is worse than they could ever imagine? What happens to these young people if you leave?
The other thing that concerns me is angry watchman. I'm concerned about those who are angry at all of this. Yes, be angry at the sin not at the sinner. Love them and do what you can. Stand in the gap and build the wall. Don't be a human wrecking ball.

I thought of Isaiah 58 and the significance of this in today's time, it is so vital, not just for our own walk, but for the souls of those all around us. Both those within church walls and those outside of the walls that have viewed Christians with some disdain for past hypocisys.

I believe that there are many sincere Christians that are angry with the Church because of much of the greasy grace that is taught and tolerated.
I believe that the Lord is working on us all and bringing us to the point that we view sin from His perspective. The sin of our Christian brothers and sisters ought to grieve us.
If we would see our sin as that which crucified Jesus Christ, then we would also hate sin.
God doesn't only want us to hate sin, but He also wants us to have a merciful attitude toward the sinner. The scripture says that if we see a brother that is overtaken in a fault, that we are to restore that one in a spirit of meekness.
The present day ministry of Jesus Christ is that of a intercessor. He is seated at the right hand of the Father and He ever lives to make intercession for us.
Jesus said "I am the truth". The Word also says that "God is Love". If we are to express God's nature to sinners we will speak the truth in love. We won't compromise about sin, but we will always be merciful, knowing that we desperately need the mercy of God.
