I just want to share few thoughts on the subject of sanctification and its experiece in our daylu life.
There are many who talk about justification by faith and few about sanctification by faith. I believe sanctification id an ongoinf precess starting at regeneration or justification as initial sanctifiaction and as we grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and receive grace upon grace we daily progress in sanctification.
Actually the sad fact in, many of us live the christian life bellow the normal standard of new testament believers and even of our spiritual evangelical forfathers of 18th and 19th century.
That's why we need a crises of deeper or higher life, of sanctification, "second blessing" to bring us back in track with the normal christian experience.
In I Cor 1: 30 paul wrote: "But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption."
Jesus is our sanctification and the full gosple includes justification, sactification and redeption. Jesus is the narrow gate, our justification and he is the way and this way is holy no one can walk in it who is not washed by the blood of the Lamb of God and he is the truth and we are sanctified by his truth.Thats why Jesus should be all in all for the believer.
Unfortunatly this is not my experience but i desire Him to be my all in all, God grant me the faith i need to appropriate this gosple truths in my daily life.
2 Timothy 2:20-22 Pauls wrote: "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."
And in 1 Corinthians 3:12-14 he wrote:
"Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward."
The danger i see today with many of us genuine born again christians is that we receive the gift of eternal life by faith in Son of God, we start a good race of faith in the begining of our new christian life but somehow we start stumbling and falling and backsliding and our vessels once pure and holy are stained by inbred sin and we started in the Spirit and like galatians ended in the flesh.
Even though i was saved when i was 18 years old in 1991, im still a babe in Christ, needing milk and not hard food, i dont doubt my eternal salvation but i for sure doubt my reward.Im sick and tired of being a carnal christian, i want to be a useful vessel of honour in the house of God.
I want to be an instrument of blessing and revival, a holy weapon in the hands of the Mighty God.
God of Elijah is here mighty to save to the uttermost everyone who calls on the name of the Lord for salvation, its time we sound the clarion call, wake up you sleeper the cause of Christ is suffering, your foes are many and powerful but God is Allpowerfull and Jesus has already destroyed the work of the devil of the cross.Give us o God the spirit of prayer and supplication to come to your throne of grace and mercy for this time of need.give us grace to deal with our first enemy SELF, lead us to the cross and enable us to crusify the I in us.Let us be open and clean channels of blessing.Let the rivers of living waters that you promised flow through us to reach other people.Humble us, cleans us, melt us, fill us and use us for your groly. Come with mighty power to cleans your living temple from the profane usurpers who have mercandized the anointing of the Holy Ghost and deceived Thy people.
Halleluyah, glory to your Name, your wind and fire is comming, you may tarry but you will not forget to visit thy people in their time of need and desperation.We believe your promises, we take hold of them and we stand upon them we will not give up our hope and faith and we will not give you rest till you see your glory descend again upon your temple.
