One World Government coming soon?

I thought some of you might find this article interesting...

America's Invincibility Shattered
By Jan Markell

Americans have been guilty of a sense of invincibility. Since we excel at nearly everything and have an unrivaled quality of life, most Americans feel nothing could bring us down. Until September and October 2008.

Now we have seen that even our economic dominance is in jeopardy. Threatened by a financial tsunami, The People's Daily out of China states, "The world must consider building a financial order no longer dependent on the United States."

The Washington Times had a bold headline October 1, 2008, reading, "Foreign Economists Urge 'Global Plan.'" The story went on to say, "Leaders and economists from Western Europe to East Asia urged that America go beyond reviving a failed domestic bailout and start working on a new global financial system. The next U.S. president should immediately call for a second 'Bretton Woods' conference to devise a new doctrine of international finance.' "

There is global panic. Wall Street Guru Warren Buffet states he has never seen such fear. There is talk of a "global nervous breakdown." So where is it going? We have just put a band-aid on a cancer sore and call it a "bailout." As Newt Gingrich says, "We're also far from out of danger. If we do not create an economic recovery program, we will be facing another bailout next year."
French President Sarkozy is looking to Europe and the European Union to solve the crisis. We know Europe takes on prominence in the last days and America declines.
Where is this going? One of the most important radio hours I have done in nine years was last Saturday, October 4. My guest was Gary Kah who has been looking at globalism issues for 20 years. You can listen here. He has said on my program more than once, "We are one disaster away from global government." So is this the disaster? Maybe. At the very least it is a run-up to it.

Gary says, "Once the current system has become completely undone, I believe a new system will be proposed as the solution. It will include some form of global government. Global planners have long understood that there can't be a new one-world system until the old order has failed." The old order is failing.

Since the U.S. government is almost as broke as the institutions it is trying to assist, won't minds be more open now to this idea? Who is going to bail out the U.S. government when it goes broke? And it likely will. We just don't know when. With America bogged down in so much debt, it will take a global solution to fix not just our economy but the economies of the world affected by the American meltdown.

Yes, things have to get very bad for America to accept a new way of doing finance. However, the book of Revelation clearly points to a coming one-world system as well as a one-world religion and a cashless society. Are we being primed? Absolutely. The "bailout" provided a very temporary lull so that America and the world didn't grind to a halt.

Those trusting in men and government have put their faith in the wrong place. False assurance has been signaled now that the FDIC will "insure" accounts up to $250,000 in one bank. However, the FDIC does not have enough money to follow through with this commitment.

The plan will be sugar-coated. With a global government, we can outlaw war! Perhaps radical Islam will be seduced into going along with the plan, and our war on terror will end. All human conflicts can be worked out through law. This will cost far less than financing your nation's defense against all other countries. Many issues such as poverty, climate change, human rights, and more will be under control with global government. Isn't this better than credit cards being recalled, car and school loans being denied, factory closures, bank closures, and millions out of work?

The impression has been that the government has solved the problem when it is government that has created the problems. And a new presidential administration is not likely to make things better if part of its strategy is to raise taxes. America is clearly at a crossroads and it may be difficult to stop the rampage of global government as outlined in the Bible.

I appreciated the way my radio guest Gary Kah ended the interview. He states, "This needs to be a time to draw near to Jesus and to be in step with His will. Get your priorities straight. Remove time-consuming, non-fruit-bearing clutter from your life. Choose to be an instrument for God. Be committed and dedicated to His call on your life."
Pray for America. Prayer still changes things. And to better understand the above, visit the "Prophecy Watch" category at my Web site.

Interesting. Thanks for the article. Do you have a citation for it?

By the way: Does the Bible actually teach that there will be a single, world government (aka one world government)? Or does it teach that the Anti-Christ will rise from a confederation of 10 nations?

I've long wondered where the idea of a one-world government originated amongst believers. If I read Revelation 13 and Ezekiel 37-39 correctly, there will still be independent governments. However, some will be joined together with international agreements (ala the European Union or NATO) plus centralized leadership. This is quite different from the notion of a one-world government where all other laws and governments are abolished and a single government and its set of laws are established and followed by all nations.

Are there passages that indicate a single, one-world government or a confederation of governments led by a single man?

Interesting article...

The current economic crises does whet one's imagination....like ya reckon the Arab world will bail out the USA and thus in turn take over this country by default? It is not outside the realm of possibility.

And it could be done without firing a shot.

Chhhrrrriiisss asked,

"Does the Bible actually teach that there will be a single, world government (aka one world government)? Or does it teach that the Anti-Christ will rise from a confederation of 10 nations?"

It definitely says that there will be one system of buying and selling, and to my judgment that's the real power. It may simply be that one super-confederacy polices all other countries, enforcing directly or indirectly their policies for finance, religion, etc.

I think the verses that point to a one world government is in Revelation 13 when the beast causes all to take his mark, and none can buy or sell without it.

But, one world government or no, look up, for our redemption draws nigh.

"Does the Bible actually teach that there will be a single, world government (aka one world government)? Or does it teach that the Anti-Christ will rise from a confederation of 10 nations?"

Thats a great question, Chris. It's my understanding that the anti-Christ will rise from the confederation of 10 nations as well. However, when he rises the entire world will be seduced by him and follow him, making him the leader of the world... thus a "one world government"... or maybe it's better to say a one world "governor".

I dont know if this crisis is it, necessarily... or simply of fortaste of things to come. But it's not good. But as I said on another thread, Christians thought the Great Depression was the end of the world to. And by the way, the Great Depression brought about massive changes in global finances back in it's time too. And it also gave rise to one of the most brutal dictators in the history of the world. I believe it was a forshadow.

Only time will tell whats going to happen. If it's the catipult to the Tribulation, depending on your theology we could be out of here soon, or at least we can say we only have a little over 7 years left! Hallelujah!

Let not your hearts be troubled. Your redemption draweth nigh.

How exciting! The cup isnt half empty folks, it's nearly full.

One world system, Anti Christ are you ready to face this is yet?

Will God allow this to happen until he has a people prepared to face this?

Any thoughts?

From what I can tell the Antichirst will rise from a small people and assert his power in the midst of those people first which is in Daniel 8. From there he takes center stage with the confederation of 10 nations which the scriptures call the 10 kings. I do believe he will have some type of influence amoung the governments of the world and will try to bring unity and create a one world government under the banner of economic security Revelation 13 17 18 talk about him using religion politics and money to bind the nations to some extent. but I do see in the bible that his whole system starts to fail and I can imagine it that it will drive him mad. 1 because of Gods marvelous display of power, and Sovereignty Psalm 22:28 Daniel 4:17 and 35. 2. the Nations of the world some Found in Daniel 11 and the Kings of the East(revelation 16:12) will not Go for his system and that is when they come to the battle discribed in Revelation 16 and 19 only to be crushed by our LORD. Matter of fact in Daniel 11 the Antichirst will hear of the armies coming from the east and will be alarmed at their coming. This guy is going to have major major problems. well that is what I make of it forgive me if my eschatology is not great dear friends I tried. :-)

our daily bread. I think it was Corrie ten Boom who told the story about a conversation with her dad about a similar topic on trials and readiness and he told her that the grace of God comes at the moment when you need(basically). She told it alot better than I just quoted it though. Something about having a ticket and a train.... maybe someone elses memory of her ministry would be better, but I do believe that that story is told on one of the Audio sermons on this site.

I personally watch for these....1)World wide drought that will come slowly than hit all at once everywhere 2) a nuke being set off in America, it will be a total colapse to America's ability to stave off all the money woahs in this country and abroad and will remove us from being able to help Israel in any way. 3)Than there will arise a political leader (personally I think it will come from Spain) who will stand up and take control.

sermonindex Oct 10, 2008

Hi guys.....seems that there has always been two main thoughts on where the anti-christ would arise. It is definately going to come out of a "revived Roman empire," which is the fourth kingdom of Daniel's vision. So, what is the revived Roamn empire? Some say Europe, and use the old Roman map(of which Scotland was not a part of, I only mention that becuase it is a source of some Scottish pride the Rome could not conquer us, yet it is more likely they just didnt want Scotland, a country they said was "on the edge of the world." :-) )

If it is not Europe, then America makes the most sense. This is a country built by Europeans and it shares a similiar political system to the Romans with the senate and so on. I personaly do not think that it is America, seems more likely to be European. If that is the case, then some how America has to be taken out of the picture. Many believe that America would be surprised by a massive nuclear attack, I doubt this very much. It seems much more likely that the power lies in economics. To take America out of the picture would consist of the bankrupting of America(is this what we are seeing right now?)

Remember Britain in 1939. Six short years later she was finished as a superpower and is now basicly irrelevent on the world stage. Who would ever have thought that the sun would set on the longest Empire of modern age? This brings another question to mind. The whole pre-trib situation. This definately plays into how you would think about how things will unfold. I personally am not a pre-tribber. Its definately a non-essential of the faith, but if the pre-trib theory is wrong, then there is definately a lack of preperation on the part of those who hold to it. For instance, if the present financial crisis got so bad that the Governments of the world took a first step in joining forces fininacially, and decided to act in concert with each other and came up with a single sytem to bring order back to a chaotic situation, what would you do? If the solution was a one world moneyless banking system, and you had to report the following Tuesday to your Post office to get your chip, which would allow you to participate in the system, what would you do? Its not that far-fetched. In Britain you cannot get a job unless you have a bank account. They all have computerized systems in which your money is paid automatically into your bank account at midnight on a Thursday.

So, you choose, America or Europe for the Anti-Christ? Financial collapse or violence to usher it in? Perhaps a combination? A multi -attack by terrorists right now on several European and American cities on a already vulnarable and scared population would perhaps bring about a unity that we have not seen before. A unity in the monetary system, and a untiy against the terrosists. I belive at that point all "fundamentalists," would become the enemy of the collective societies. We Christians would be lumped in with the terrosists as enemies of the people. Is it too far-fetched to believe people could become the enemies of society simply by the their religious affiliations? Please do not forget about the Jewish people in Nazi Germany. And it was the depression that allowed Hitler to come to power. It would not be all "Christians," who would be the enemy, only those that hold to the fact that there is only one way to get to heaven and that all other religions lead to hell. This would be considered hate speech.

Anyway, thats my thoughts on how it will possibly unfold. Are we seeing the beginnings of it now? Who knows, but we do know that it is coming. ...............brother Frank

I wonder if the economy was good if the thread would have ever been posted? We Christians are not starting to worry are we? Actually we should be standing out now as folks that are not concerned a bit showing more proof that our Lord is still in control, that has been my message for the past few weeks.

I have my stocks in the Lord and they have not been effected at all during all the panic, the markets will play themselves out things will be back to normal again and God will have seen who really trusted in him during all this, ask yourself are you looking to man or God to work this out? if your looking to God well why all the concern? :-)

I'm not sure I have that much confidence, but I do know this... not to get into politics, but there is one party in particular that is revelling in the bad news of the economy because it only helps them get power. I'm not letting the other party off the hook, they both are to blame for all of this. I'm just saying that the timing of all of this is more than suspicious. And of course, the media (for the most part) is in the tank for one candidate, and the worse they can make things look to the public the better.

Someone asked me yesterday "Do you really think they would bankrupt the world in order to be in power?" Absolutely. And just for the record, so would the other party.

Obviously there were problems, and this is more than an election year "October surprise"... I'm just saying look at the timing, and look at who stands to benefit from things being extremely bad right now. And as long as the news media continues to hammer away at how awful and dreadful things are... the better for their candidate.

And the media has a direct effect on the stock market, probably more so than any other entity.

But I firmly believe that after election day this thing will calm down some... no matter who wins.

I personally am not a pre-tribber. Its definately a non-essential of the faith, but if the pre-trib theory is wrong, then there is definately a lack of preperation on the part of those who hold to it.
You think so?

I currently lean toward a pre-wrath view of the End (or BEGINNING of the end). In other words, I believe that the Lord will provide an escape for his Bride from the wrath that He will pour out upon the Earth. But does this equate to a "lack of preparation?"

The important thing (regardless of how and when the End will come) is to keep our eyes on Christ. If we are steadfast and immovable in Him (seeking His face through the Word), then how would we be unprepared for His coming? We should be prepared to go through all manners of tribulations and persecutions for His Name's sake!

The current banking situation is bad -- but I don't believe that it is any more indicative of the End than Hurricane Katrina. Yes, they might be signs or even a set up for the End (as everything in history is), but should we resort to paranoia or preparing timelines for the End with this as one of the points on it?

We are Christians. We are the Bride of Christ! We should know our Groom very well because we spend so much time with Him! We seek to know Him through prayer and His Word in purity of heart. The world around us can crumble as it goes to Hell in a hand basket -- but our primary objective is to seek and walk with our God and to introduce Him to others.

As far as the "one world government:” Thanks for the explanation(s). I understand the single worldwide economic ties (as explained in Revelation chapter 13). However, I might argue that such ties have been ongoing for years. When I have traveled overseas, I used my VISA bank card. There was no need to exchange currency. When my wife studied in Europe for a semester, she hardly used currency at all. She used her VISA debit card.

One thing that has crossed my mind is that this current bank crisis has caused banks to pull together and merge. Even international banks are partnering up with American banks! I do see how that if this "credit crisis" were to continue (strange, because this "crisis" hasn't affected me or anyone I know), then there could be an international agreement reached between banks. This could be a catalyst for a "one-world bank" (or single, international banking system).

I just don't see a "one world government" in the Bible. I understand that Revelation chapter 13 speaks of the Antichrist arising from a confederation of 10 nations (of which he is the head). Perhaps his "miraculous abilities" might cause the nations to place their faith (and obedience) in this wicked man? Not to be too political or divisive at all, but I am amazed at the rate of submission by which so many Americans have embraced Mr. Obama. He promises "change" -- but is pretty light on any specifics. This isn't really a criticism of Obama -- but of Americans who embrace "change" because it is simply "change." It makes me understand just how the Antichrist will hold an even greater power to mesmerize the people.

I suppose that it isn’t really that important to decipher whether or not the Antichrist will rule from a single, one-world government or a confederation that controls the world banking system. However, it might be confusing for people who are waiting for their government to be a part of the Antichrist’s domain. Yet the Word teaches that there will still be wars during the period of Great Tribulation. There will still be independent armies (who will eventually march against Christ at His coming).

Regardless of how it happens, the End will come. Our preparation? Seek the face of our Maker. We need to know Him and know His Word! We need to purify our hearts through the washing of the water of His Word! We need to bring others to Him! We need to be true believers – a Bride that has made herself ready! I don’t think that we can go wrong if we truly do these things in truth.

Hi Brother Frank...

lol

I thought the same thing when I was writing. I thought, "This guy is going to think that I am chasing him around the forums!"

But no, I would have responded no matter WHO wrote it.

Love you brother! Please don't think that I am trying to lecture you either. I have learned quite a bit from the forums over the past several years. You've been one of the guys that I have learned from. Be encouraged!

I just wanted to point out something that is often conveyed in End-time discussions here in the forums. Some of us "pre-tribbers" (although I think that I am a "pre-wrath" persona, actually) are fully prepared to face tribulation and persecution -- no matter when, where and how it comes!

:-)

I personally am not a pre-tribber. Its definately a non-essential of the faith, but if the pre-trib theory is wrong, then there is definately a lack of preperation on the part of those who hold to it.

Pray for pre-trib but prepare for post-trib.

Personally I lean toward pre-trib. Post-tribbers love to pretend that pre-tribbers are simply too weak or scared to go thru the tribulation, and so thats why we believe in pre-trib. To be honest, yes, I don't want to go thru the tribulation and I think you're nuts if you do. But thats not why I lean toward pre-trib. I lean toward pre-trib because thats what I believe scripture points toward.

When you boil it down tho... I'm pan-trib. I reckon it'll all "pan out". :-)

Those of you who think you're gonna go thru the Tribulation... let me know how that works out for ya! ;-)

Now, there is a lot of talk about Revelation. Keep an eye on the Catholic Church thru all of this. Revelation 17 is about the Catholic Church, and calls it the "great whore".
