The Bible is full of references to different colours, combinations of colours - black and white, darkness and lightness - visibilty - the coat of many colours - in Revelation all of the colours of heaven - the nations. This is to help me untangle it all, and maybe you can help.

It is like fixing a puzzle. A box of pieces makes no sense, it is when they are put together that you begin to see. Does not the Lord put things before you to examine?

I do not know where I am going at the moment. I am just moving forward as the Lord leads, trusting that He will make it clear.
This is how the Lord teaches me. He puts things before me to examine. I was hoping that others here could help - somehow, I am thinking that the way all colours combine to make white - to bring forth the purity - to bring things to light - that maybe by all of us coming to together with what He brings to us individually - that Truth may somehow be better known - as the colours all coming to together in light, reflecting off of white.
You could help by praying and asking the Lord if He has anything for you to contribute - for you know things that I could never hope to know.

I was just thinking about something I saw (I don't remember where - it is one of the pieces I lost) - how someone discovered the colors within light by using a prism (3 sided piece of glass) to separate out the colors (I think it was 7 different colors - the colors of the rainbow). Then I remembered the Bible verse about looking through the glass dimly and thought that maybe there was a connection. So here is the definition of glass as well as the Bible verses that have the word glass in them.

It is interesting that at the beginning of things the earth was void with darkness and lack of light - and that hell is described as having chains of darkness...I think that many people are in hell now - a personal hell - people trapped in sin, chained by the powers of darkness.

Some years ago I did a brief study on color and its symbols, how man uses the names of color to describe a mood or behaviour. Got to be very interesting.
Blue: melancoly, depressing.
Yellow: cowardly
Red: endorsing radical social, political change; color used by prostitutes
Purple: profane, ; emblematic of regal rank or authority
Green: immature, inexperienced, envious
White: purity
Black: wicked, evil, gloomy
Now when one studies the definitions man has attributed to these colors, I am glad God originally used them to make the world gloriously beautiful and that it is man who has spoiled it by defining moods, behavious by color. If these definitions were to be taken seriously, we should all dress in white!

I think that this is one of the biggest problems that white people have - just because they are white on the outside, they think it makes them clean on the inside. Which of course makes it even more difficult for them to see their sin.
There is something in the relationship between black and white people (color also fits in here) - something that God is using . . . I know it fits in but at the moment can not make the connection.
Spiritually speaking, there is no such thing as being of a different "color." It is only externally that these things apply - somehow the glass (which seems to relate to ice - both being a barrier of sorts) separates out the colors . . . from invisible to visible.
Also I am finding a "controversy" as to whether or not black is to be considered a color - having to do with reflection properties . . .
Thank you for jumping in here ginnyrose. I hope more people will join in for I have noticed that there is a dynamic that takes place as others participate - a magnifying of sorts. Things that are seemingly unrelated are found to be related.
