A question for the aussies here on SI: Do you see the churches here in Australia as having the same issues as what we've seen in America which Paul Washer has made clear over the past season?
Coming from a Pentecostal/Charismatic background, one thing I see in the Brisbane area is that churches are popping up that follow similar style and structure in light of Hillsong, CCC, Planetshakers, et al, and while I see these churches as being able to draw in several of those in the younger generations - that is, teens and young adults - what I don't seem to see in such churches is a strong emphasis on actual discipleship.
What do my fellow Australians think? Are we truly living in "the great Southland of the Holy Spirit"?
