Listening to it also helped me get a healthy Biblical perspective in the situation. I think the church should listen to it.

Here is a point I think is important:

Hear the Apostle Paul: Give everyone what you owe him . . . if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor (Romans 13:7). Hear the Apostle Peter say the same thing: Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king (1 Peter 2:17).
Obviously, in America we do not have a king. But, we have a president and we have a
governmental system that has three branches nationally – and these three branches also form state and local governments. We are to honor those who hold positions of authority.
As Christians, we must set the example for being respectful to those in office – whether
executive, judicial, or legislative.
The recent campaign at all levels and all parties was often filled with bitter rancor, distortions,smears and lies. That must not be a part of Christian’s behavior. We must not lose our principles when fighting for principle.
As believers, we can help set a better tone for the national discussion. We can hold to our
views without being unkind, without rancorous voices, without becoming filled with anger or hatred toward those with opposing views."
As I check out the news online, I filled with disgust at the disrespect showered on Pres. Bush and others. It is so disgusting I wonder some people would not lose their jobs for fermenting such rancor and hate. Yes, the saints have a higher calling then dragging people into the mud and slime.

thanks for bringing this to us! This is an outstanding message in which I agree whole heartily. Everyone needs to hear this.
We as christians must not lose our focus and why we are here. We are to be salt and light to this world. Our speech must be always with grace seasoned with salt. We are to answer every man with the true message of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God has really been showing me here lately about how we are to have a winning attitude. We are not defeated but we are more than victorious through our Lord Jesus Christ and his great Love for us.

I second your request that we as Christians begin and continue for others to blatantly reject the words and evil divisiveness of Limbaugh, Hannity and Coulter, not only them, but also Bill Maher and Hitchins also.
You probably would be taken by the people that actually lie both of these guys garbage.

Hi brother...I appreciate your kind words. I find Bill Maher a gross and baser character, one with total annimosity towards the Christian community. I find Hitchens less so simply because he is an atheist. I could have a decent converstaion with an athiest much more so that a hypocrite. To me, Hitchens is a sad , souless man who only has his intellect to fall back on. It is funny(not ha ha) though, I believe that if we are alive when the tribulation begins, yes, both sides that these groups represent will come after the genuine believer......brother Frank

I'm glad that someone mentioned this. I've felt for some while that these "conservatives" were just another confusing voice of divisiveness although they claim to have the proper perspective. Coulter claims to be Christian but if she is an example of a godly motuhpiece then count me out. Sorry, had to say it. To many it's like they have the word of the Lord or something. Nope.

Hatred and bitterness and divisiveness,no matter who or where it comes from, is clearly wrong. These people are some of the reasons that the Democrats won so easily. While I probably agree with what she has to say, there is a tremendous amount of divisiveness that comes from her mouth. I won't judge whether she is a Christian or not... if she says she is, and she's repented before the Lord, who am I to say? But her snarkiness on TV and the titles of her books are meant to make people mad.
Sean Hannity is very divisive, but he is not a true believer anyway... he is Roman Catholic.
Rush Limbaugh is a "social Christian", but not born again by his own admission.
I used to like Glenn Beck a lot, still do listen to him some... but he is all doom & gloom, and given to conspiracy theories at times. The sky is always falling on the Glenn Beck Show! He is not a Christian, he is a Mormon.
So from the "big 3" (Rush, Sean & Glenn) we cant expect much more than divisiveness. If they were not divisive they would go down in the ratings. But if someone is going to claim the name of Christ seriously, then I think they can contend for the truth but do so without being snarky and bombastic... all things with which I struggle with myself.

The superintendent of the assembly of god was applying scripture incorrectly. By using Romans 13 to secular government he is using it out a of context, Romans 13 applies to the governance of the church, not the government of a country(USA). I would encourage you to look at the verses in Romans that he used, it's very enlightening.
HI brother Billpro. Romans 13 is almost undoubtedly addressing the secular authorities The very first verse gives it its context. This "higher powers," is talking about magistrates. Romans 13 teaches how the Christian is to relate to the secular authorities. You are the firt person I have ever heard that would say that Romans 13 applies to the governence of the Church. Perhaps I travel in fairly narrow circles though, perhaps you can explain why you belive that Romans 13 is speaking to Church government...........brother Frank
I cannot tell or make you do or adhere to anything that I say, but I personally feel as though those three people in particular are very toxic to a persons ear, and all the more toxic to a sincere Chritian believer.
Also, no disrespect to you Mr Krispy or anyone, but to even allow christian to follow after the name an behavior of Rush Limbaugh or anyone on that particular list is a "flat-out" Joke, and a serious demise upon the term Christian.
I have diviorced Rush Limbaugh 7 years ago. He and the othrs can't help themselves, they are filled with hate, contempt, and they falsify religion and they are anti-God(Overly divisive hypocrites)....
I do not think I would be happy to say i listen to these individuals, I think they are equally disgusting. I cannot say that I have ever prayed for them, not out of spite, but that is how they have turned my stomach.
I can tell you this much, I will offer them supplicating prayer from here on out, so I do thank you from that apect for the post.
