Selected Module Does Not Exist

todd Aug 12, 2003

I have been bombarded by this error screen tonight saying "Selected Module Does Not Exist." Today is the first time I can remember seeing it and now I have probably got stuck with it about 30 times. Anyone else experiencing this? Ideas/recommendations?

I have had the same problem Todd. Unfortunately Greg is out of town so we just have to bear with it until he comes back.Kevin

This problem has started to occur out here too this afternoon - local Swedish time - but it seem to ease up if one shuts down the connection for a little while. Overload??Lars W.

This problem has started to occur out here too this afternoon - local Swedish time - but it seem to ease up if one shuts down the connection for a little while. Overload??Yes I do think this an overload problem where so many people are trying to access the SQL database at once. I have the php script and SQL database hosted on a shared server with about 200 other sites! I am praying and hoping to get another dedicated server just for the sermonindex.net website. Currently the one dedicated server which is a windows 2000Pro box that costs $99US a month I am using just for the sermon files. I am wanting to get a Linux server box to host the site and a few others: like www.yahwehnet.com and www.wrtbooks.comYou will get the 'Selected Module Does Not Exist' error alot if you use the back and forward buttons on the browser also.

Hey Greg,Not the most technical guy out there, but this does seem to be all of a sudden, haven't had any troubles in the past. As the others stated, this started up late yesterday (out here on the 'left' coast)I realize this may be out of your control, just wanted to share my experience.....Maybe we need to rally around Greg and drum up some support to get Greg a new server....Of course that means you will have to get that donations link fixed :-D ..I know you probably got a lot going on, just giving you a hard time. For everybody else that should give us enough time to go through the couch cushions, have a garge sale, put off the kids college education (you don't really want them going to one of those secular places anyway)and send in some support for this site.A few bucks for a great work, FREE sermons... I don't even see a reason to have to pray about it.That's just my humble opinion of course :-P

Of course that means you will have to get that donations link fixed ..I know you probably got a lot going on, just giving you a hard time.YES. I am fixing this tonight hopefully! As for the status of the server: I purchased a NEW linux server to host the physical site. Its costing $129US a month for this NEW server. And also $99US a month for the other server that runs all the sermon downloads. If you are intrested in helping out I would really appreciate it. Please contact me at info@sermonindex.net and feel free to use the donations button on the left menu. Does anyone know how to apply for non-profit status. ultimately that would be awesome for this ministry to run as a non-profit organization.
