And keep writing our senators and congressmen your concerns as well. This is very serious and effects the well-being of our entire country, negating all efforts over the past 35 years of prolife work.
I wonder how much people disallowed this very fact when they voted yes for our pres-elect.

We are headed for very hard times.
Huge changes loom, both in the secular level and also the spiritual realm.
It is hard to read the times and not come to alarming conclusions.
World leadership has shifted remarkably in a short period of time.
The financial crisis hasn’t even begun to get serious. Let’s not kid ourselves about how bad things could get. How bad? Nations can be wiped out, and it doesn’t take war to do the job.
In the USA we are facing the strong likelihood of FOCA, the "Freedom of Choice Act" which will effectively eliminate restriction on abortion and curtail the rights of parents and physicians to exercise their own freedoms and rights.
Take a look at the video, below. It is also on YoutTube right now… I say "right now, because I suspect it will be pulled because it is pro-life and therefore "hate speech". For that reason, I also put it on my server.
"But Father! But Father!", some might object. "This is just Michael O’Brien stuff you are gabbling now. Just relax. Watch! Things aren’t as bad as you are suggestion. Stop your scaremongering."
Well… yah, pal! This is "Michael O’Brien stuff!" And mark my words the "fairness doctrine" is going to be ushered to the fore again, very soon. There will be a strong effort to shut down the alternative media, such as the stronger voices in the Christian blogosphere. Just you watch. Just watch as leaders in the Church start to line up on different sides. Some will apply huge pressure, canonical, financial, psychological, to clerics who decide to stand up and speak an unambiguous message rooted in Christian teaching.
Actually, this has already begun.
Some will say the video is corny, because of the music from Rocky.
Some will say that it is alarmist, because it speaks in stark terms.
But do you honestly think we are not at an important crossroad?
Christians had to make choices in 1930’s Germany.
Christians had to make choices behind the iron and bamboo curtains.
It’s our turn.
Neither of us, nor any sound Christian people will advocate violence or uncharitable acts.
Neither of us suggest or ask for any disrespect to elected officials or defiance of law and order.
It asked that Christians embrace the teachings of Bible and the truth written into our hearts.
It asks that Christians practice their Christian faith, that they be Christian.
In no way does being Christian take us out of the public square or place us entirely out of the sphere of what Caesar justly requires. We have obligations to the state, as well as rights.
But our obligation to God and the truth has priority. Only in our fidelity as Christians can we offer our special contributions to the common good. We have a right and duty to participate in the public square.
We can only have something good to contribute if we know who we are as Christians, if we embrace that identity, and act accordingly according to our vocations in our proper spheres of life.
We must first fight the battle for our Christian identity before we can make a difference in the world.
We must make choices.
Lose-Lose on Abortion - Obama's threat to Catholic hospitals and their very serious counterthreat
And the most ludicrous line out of them, surely, was about how, under Obama, Catholic hospitals that provide obstetric and gynecological services might soon be forced to perform abortions or close their doors. Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Chicago warned of “devastating consequences” to the health care system, insisting Obama could force the closure of all Catholic hospitals in the country. That’s a third of all hospitals, providing care in many neighborhoods that are not exactly otherwise overprovided for. It couldn’t happen, could it?
You wouldn't think so. Only, I am increasingly convinced that it could. If the Freedom of Choice Act passes Congress, and that's a big if, Obama has promised to sign it the second it hits his desk. (Here he is at a Planned Parenthood Action Fund event in 2007, vowing, "The first thing I'd do as president is, is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That's the first thing I'd do.") Though it's often referred to as a mere codification of Roe, FOCA, as currently drafted, actually goes well beyond that: According to the Senate sponsor of the bill, Barbara Boxer, in a statement on her Web site, FOCA would nullify all existing laws and regulations that limit abortion in any way, up to the time of fetal viability. Laws requiring parental notification and informed consent would be tossed out. While there is strenuous debate among legal experts on the matter, many believe the act would invalidate the freedom-of-conscience laws on the books in 46 states. These are the laws that allow Catholic hospitals and health providers that receive public funds through Medicaid and Medicare to opt out of performing abortions. Without public funds, these health centers couldn't stay open; if forced to do abortions, they would sooner close their doors. Even the prospect of selling the institutions to other providers wouldn't be an option, the bishops have said, because that would constitute "material cooperation with an intrinsic evil."
The bishops are not bluffing when they say they’d turn out the lights rather than comply. Nor is Auxiliary Bishop Robert Hermann of St. Louis exaggerating, I don’t think, in vowing that “any one of us would consider it a privilege to die tomorrow—to die tomorrow—to bring about the end of abortion.”
Whatever your view on the legality and morality of abortion, there is another important question to be considered here: Could we even begin to reform our already overburdened health care system without these Catholic institutions? I don’t see how.

It's still an amazement to me that so many christians would purposely vote for a president who is so anti-christian in his open speech publically. These poor souls do not even know that they have lined up in the same line as thoughs who are slated for destruction. God speed- god speed they say, and they become partakers of Obama's sin (anti- christian doctrines/actions). This whole matter still has me reeling in disbelief!

A friend of mine said how she overheard a couple of Obama supporters discuss how they believe that once he becomes president he will see to it 1) she will have money to send her daughter to college and 2) that he will build a house for her.
daryl, when people think they will benefit financially, a lot of common sense is clouded, reasoning is obscured and incomprehensible.

Last night I was reading more about their stand on this. The say if they are required to perform abortions, they will close the hospitals.
This will accomplish nothing. The State will be able to take them over with the new Eminent Domain law and reopen them and run them themselves. They would have to blow them up to keep them from being used for that evil.
Thank God for the Grace we have in Jesus, we are just passing through this evil world.
I know that alot of promises were made by Obama but here is how I understood the election. Mid way through GB presidency I had a dream where I was in the counsils of God, as I walked toward Hilary Clinton, I got very close to her and said "the Lord God Almighty has rejected you from being president", I than turned and went straight back to George Bush and his Wife Laura Bush, at that point I woke up and understood several things 1: There would be a male/female running team in the next election 2:as I woke I said Lord that doesn't make sense because GW can't be president a third time let alone with his wife as VP. So looking backwards I understand why things happened the way they did, but in the process I figured that my prayers would change God's mind and He would allow a different outcome. I was dissappointed to say the lest. However, the liberal media and think tank of this country only believe they are in control. The things that are to happen in this country are heart breaking and at the time when I understood only a part, I sat literally for weeks dispondent. But for now things will be calm in America as Obama will appear to have things well in control, but than suddenly in an instant.....
