Help! Ministry in Trouble

Dear friends, I would like to make you aware of a great need. I live in the heart of Mormonism in Logan Utah where the population is 110,000 and 91% Mormon. There are at best 500 Christians, most of which have been beat down by the culture here and have believed the lie that we are to small to have any real effect. Please pray for us here to continue to push back the gates of Hell. The other thing is the great financial need of Oasis Books. If you read Christian books and purchase them from a secular source or from one of those other "christian" bookstores I would encourage you to consider Oasis Books. They have many excellent titles available and can order any book or Bible and have them shipped anywhere in the world. If you are a pastor or Church leader please consider helping this much needed ministry with either a monthly support or one time support. They do not themselves solicit donations, I am doing this on my own at the leading of the Lord. The ministry has been in Logan Utah for 25 years and is in a difficult financial situation. P.S None of the staff at Oasis is paid. They are all missionaries or volunteers. They rely solely on the unsolicited gifts of generous Saints. The request I have made here is not for their personal income but for the bookstore to remain open.

Witnessing in Logan
One of our missions is to encourage local Christians to share the Gospel! We carry numerous tracts and books and Bibles that can be used in witnessing. I heard that recently Focus on the Family radio had to cut 200 employee's. Many ministries will be shutting down as economics' get worse. My God fund and preserve those ministries He wishes to see continue to run for the expansion of the Kingdom of God.

So do you think God is doing some pruning? or is this totally an economic issue? Is it possible that God could let a ministry go for 10/15/20/25 years and fail because it never was meant to be by God?

If so that's what they call a hard fall or either a wake up call I don't know, but we are not fly's on the walls of these ministries and don't have the inside goings on like God does.

I think such times will truly expose many as being Ishamel's. Ishamel, if you recall, was the fruit of Abraham, but, it was not the Isaac God intended.

The problem here has nothing to do with economic downturns in society. It has everything to do with the Christians not seeing Jesus clearly. And not seeing one another together in Christ. I have available a more detailed account of the long term problems and the current situation and needs if anyone would like me to send them a copy.

My prayer is that every true ministry that God has raised up would have an abundant supply so that the work of the ministry can be carried on, and that every ministry that has not been established by Christ would dry up.

I believe that this financial crises has to do with the great shaking that has only just begun both within and without the Church.
