Trinity Baptist Church Revival

B
BiblePreachr Jul 23, 2004

Trinity Baptist Church is having our 10th Annual Tent Revival Meeting the second week of August. THe church is in Secane, PA just outside of Philly. We will be having Pastor/Evangelist Sammy Allen in to preach the week. Our meetings have seen people saved every year and for the past four years, we have baptized under the tent also. Please pray for revival in our membership, people in the area to come out and be saved and become faithful to the Lord, and for the preachers and congregation each and every service to be filled with the Holy Ghost, to hear and apply the messages to our hearts that the town would say as those in the book of Acts, "These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also"!

I have moved this thread from the "Revival praying and History Section" to the "Lounge". I just feel that people shouldn't get confused with the word "Revival" and "evangelism" but it is true that your meeting could turn into a revival but it is not at this point. I hope you understand what I am trying to say ;-) apply the messages to our hearts that the town would say as those in the book of Acts, "These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also"!AMEN lets pray that happens.---Quote from Leonard Ravenhill from his message: Revival Lectures Series - ShortRevival cannot be organized -- evangelism can be organized.Revival cannot be subsidized -- evangelism can and usually it must be.Revival cannot be advertised -- evangelism can.It may cost millions of dollars, as it often does, to have one of our huge, modern, so called revivals. You have to pay vast sums of moneyfor time on TV, for example -- perhaps a million dollars a night. That's incredible, that's unthinkable to me inthe context of Biblical revival, or even historical revival. Why doesn't revival need to be advertised? For the simple reason, that fire is the most self advertising thing that there is, whether it is a physical fire or a revival fire. It draws people like a magnet.
