Oh Lord!

N
narrowpath Dec 31, 2008

Oh Lord,

Make them see the truth
- the doctrinal views I hold
May others see Your wisdom
- displayed in my speech
May they end their strife
- and accept my last word
Wilt thou that they grow up to the measure of Christ
\t- by following my example
Let him repent and turn to Christ
\t- so that he not longer enjoys what I am not supposed to enjoy
Change my wife to become more loving
\t- rather than changing me
Turn me into a better person
\t- who feels better about himself
Make me humble
\t- but do not humble me in front of others
Send out your workers into the harvest
\t- someone other than me
Thank you for my brother
\t- I am sure you set him straight
Help me to give more for your work
\t- by increasing my income
Give us unity among ourselves
\t- and let them see my point
Help them in their distress
\t- surely I can’t help anyway
Have your way
\t- as I have mine

Oh Lord save me
– from myself!

Don't know if you wrote this, narrow - but it surely does speak.

Jeremiah 17:9, 10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Suppose that is why the world would prefer to believe in a "sub-conscious" - to rid themselves of accountability?

Psa 26:2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.
Job 13:23 How many are mine iniquities and sins?
Make me to know my transgression and my sin
Psa 139:23, 24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
