Is Our Will in Line With the Will of God?

"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." (John 15:7)

This is a tremendous promise to us that if we live in Christ, and His Word lives in us, that we can ask whatever we will, and it shall be done for us.

1 John 4:14 says: "This is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us."

God does not hear the prayer that is outside of His will, but the saint who abides in Christ and has His Word abiding in him will always pray according to the will of God, because God's will becomes the will of the child of God.

"For it is God that works within you both to will and to do of His good pleasure." (Phil.2:13)

If we truly know God we will not be disturbed even though there may come our way many questions. People may attempt to prove this or that thing, but we Christians can prove one very important thing—that God is indeed God and that we know Him who is so real. And by knowing Him, all problems are solved. Such knowledge does not rely on how logical are the reasons or how clear the doctrines; it relies only on revelation. How such revelation is absolutely necessary. We must ask God to give us the spirit of revelation so that we may really know Him. And knowledge such as this is the foundation of a believer and is of utmost importance.

There is nothing wrong with praying for the needs of people, the bible instructs us to pray with all prayer and supplication for the saints, but this has been the main focus of the prayer meeting in much of the Church.

Have we ever asked the Lord to teach us how to pray? The Lord did indeed teach His disciples how to pray, and the Lord's prayer is the pattern prayer for all prayer.

As members of the Body of Christ that are united to the Head, it should be no strange thing that His mind, His will and His thoughts would be transmitted unto Us.

In most organized prayer meetings there is a set agenda to pray for certain things, and this is good as long as it is the Lord leading us to pray for these things.

Have we ever gone to the Lord in a prayer meeting and asked Him to reveal His heart to us, to give us His burden, so that it can be released in prayer?
