Hey Joe,
I know what you mean when you say,
"Even if we have the free will to make choices in our lives, I still feel as sense of fatalism, as God knew every single thing that I would do before I did it, and responds accordingly, somtimes I feel as if I can't lift a spoon to my mouth without the feeling that it has been accounted for by God."
I know how you feel.
There was a time in my life when I wondered what color shirt God wanted me to wear for the day. I felt that if I didn't wear the right color, I'd not be doing His will. That's just one example. There are so many examples I could give you but that's not important.
Anyways, It was out of love for Him that I acknowledged Him even in such small matters. That was years ago. At the time, If someone asked me if I loved God, I couldn't say, "YES!" too boldly. The point is, back then, I couldn't see that I loved Him but now I can see that it was out of love for God that I acknowledged Him even in small matters.
I'm telling you this because you think about judgement when you lift a spoon up to your mouth. If I'm understanding you correctly, your doing what I've done. Your acknowledging God even in the smallest matters.
Here's what the Bible says,
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6
I know what you mean when you say,
"I feel like a little child that pushes the love of their parent away, for no other reason than selfisness, or perhaps to get even more attention from the parent. I cannot walk in any confidence of my flesh, I have sought Him in prayer, and will continue to do so."
I know how this feels too.
The devil is such a horrendus beast! I hate him. Truly, truly, He destroys as the Lord says. He's also a liar as the Lord says as well. The devil tells us so many things that we think is our own thinking or God Himself! He's so horrible himself. I hate him for the destruction he causes.
He's got you thinking about what God knows and what God doesn't know. Who cares! Forget about that. Damn the devil with that. And I say unto you, "Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Be a child my friend.
Also, the devil has you thinking that you've pushed God's love away. Oh comon, do you really think so? I hate it but the devil has probably convinced you mighty well of this! To hell with the devil though, he's a devil. A nasty one too. He makes good use of reason and knows how to reason with the best of them.
Despite reason, despite the way everything looks around you, believe what the Bible tells you my friend. There's so much written about God's love in the Bible for you. You cannot undo what God has already done. God already sent Jesus to die on the cross. You can't change that.
Here's just some of what the Bible says about God's love for you,
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39
You need to believe these things though. Your prayer to God should be that He might help you to believe. I pray that for both of us.
