Thanks for posting this sermon, brother Neil! This ties in so well with a post made some time ago about the squandered legacy of England. We were blessed with such men like Wesley, Whitefield, Ryle, Owen, Bunyan, Henry, Wycliffe, Spurgeon (among many others!) and some great hymn writers, too. Furthermore, we were SO blessed at one time, that we were able to spare some of these great preachers as missionaries to far off countries~
Whilst driving through my hometown recently, visiting family, I noticed these words on the side of the bus, as bold as brass: "There probably isn't a God, now stop worrying and go and enjoy life" I nearly crashed the car in shock! A few decades ago, the churches in England would have united in making their voices heard in opposition to this! The world has so polluted and infiltrated the western church, and it's happened so gradually that people are blind to what we've lost!
"The origin of Revival rest not on man, but the Holy Ghost"! "The first sign of Revival is the stirring of the hearts of God's people to pray"! You need to pray, today, that God will pour upon you the spirit of Prayer and the spirit of Supplication" The Spirit of God is waking His people! When God's people are awakened, this Fire of Prayer starts to burn"!! An annointed word from Ian Paisley. God is doing it... God is stiring His people!
AMEN!

He who preaches the Word, STAY OUT OF POLITICS!!
I heard one Godly man, who loves Ian say this; if Ian had stayed out of politics, he would have been on the same level as a John Wesley, the sermon you are listening to is from 1971!!!
If I was EVER to be called to the pulpit, I'd have NOTHING to do with the filth of politics, and its worldliness and fornications with the institutions of man.

Do you think that being a clergyman makes a difference on your choice of occupations, or whatever? Just wondering..

I didnt mean this:

lets say one is called to preach, or to the mission field, or is even blessed enough to participate in a true heavenn sent revival, and God has gifted you with the Ministry of the Word, you would be wise to stay out of politics, or anything that smacks of publicity, or putting yourself forward, and co-mingling with the institutions of man.....in fact, you know what, the word, "clergyman" ......I dont know. In fact I was joking with my mentor the other day, as the AoG has changed the title that one recives when they complete the basic Berean Course, from "Certified Worker" to "Certified Minister", and I suggested to him at the next council meeting that they change the term to "Certified Worm". I'm not joking...a worm for Christ, or as Paul said, "scum of the earth".
I know my printed words cant convey what I feel, but I think its best, that if a follower of Jesus ever gets blessed enough to see REAL REVIVAL, participate in REAL REVIVAL, they should beg God to keep them LOW...and I'm not talking about any of this childish charismania that passes off for revival, what with poor deluded souls acting drunk, howling, etc.
I cant convey what I mean to you, except to just stay IN JESUS...sorry for my inexactitude.
