The reason the Emergent Church and others are growing is the fact we have forsaken the cross!
If we want power back in our churches, we MUST get back to preaching the cross!! When we do that people will break down our doors to get in.
Jesus said if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto my self.
The cross is not the center of our faith; but
the Holy One who suffered, died, and rose again!
Christ is the offering, Christ the atoning
sacrifice; Christ the Redeemer, now and forever!!
It was the message of the cross that broke me.
Praise God! This is yet another confirmation of what God has been speaking to me about for the past month or so! We need to get back to the cross! And to Our wonderful Savior who died there upon! Too many pastors are shying away from such preaching! But I say point me to the cross and why Christ died there for this lost and dying world! I never want to lose sight of it! I want to live it and breath it every day of my life! As we all should! If not for the cross, where would I be? If not for the cross, there would have been no resurrection! If not for the cross, there would have been no precious blood shed for the cleansing of our sins! Preach the cross, live the cross, take up your cross daily! Hallelujah!
