Does anyone know where I can get either the Journal of David Livingstone or a good Biography of him?

Last month I read the Livingstone biography by Thomas Hughes and it was very informative, at times very edifying. Be aware, lots of scientific and geographic info, since Livingstone was also a pioneer scientist/cartographer/emissary to Africa during the 1800's.

The audio version of Thomas Hughes' 1889 edition is well read by Frederick Davidson, and is available on Christianaudio.com. Be forewarned, however, the story may become tedious at times for those not interested in anthropology, biology, or 19th century interracial relations. In many ways it's not the story of a missionary, but the story of the man who made Africa accessible to missionaries.

If you are one to enjoy National Geographic, you will be both fascinated and sanctified by this account of one of God's great soldiers.

You can read it online, here:
