There are a few things I follow: the news, stocks, the brewers and sermonindex. Lately it seems that all of these have given me a bit of reason to feel down about the condition the world is in.

I understand that we want to keep each other informed about what is happening around the world, but I also feel that you can fall off the fence two ways.

I just want to remind all of us (myself included) that God IS SOVREIGN! Not even one molecule, cell or atom (i think those are the smallest) is out of His control. No rogue molecules in this creation!

I know it is heartbreaking to see the stock prices, legislation that is breaking down family structure, immorality being taught in schools, but remember, God will redeem His people. This is not an excuse to stop fighting the Good Fight, but it should be some encouragement!

This was just something that was on my heart.

yeah.

and no matter how bad it gets... stay steadfast with the lord and dont let the world take over you like it has me in which i am praying hard to ask God to forgive me because i keep slipping away. but this is not about me. obviously this is about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

This evening we had some friends over and were singing hymns together. This one blessed me and encouraged my spirit to keep my eyes on the One who I ~~[b]~~know[/b] is true, faithful, good, all powerful, and totally worthy of our trust ~ Jesus Christ!

I know not why God’s wondrous grace
To me He hath made known,
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love
Redeemed me for His own.

I read this Psalm today and felt it dealt with what I talked about in my original post. I was greatly encouraged by it, and hope you will be too!

Psalm 93
The LORD Reigns
1 The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty;
the LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt.
Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.
2 Your throne is established from of old;
you are from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their roaring.
4Mightier than the thunders of many waters,
mightier than the waves of the sea,
the LORD on high is mighty!
