David Wilkerson just sent this letter out to the world!!!

S
Santana Mar 7, 2009

Pastor David Wilkerson, from Times Square Church in New York City, just sent this letter out to EVERY single person on his contact list. He has never done this before. Must read!

AN URGENT MESSAGE

I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list, and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world.

AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE - EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US.

For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago.

There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written,

“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (v. 3).

God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations. He is destroying the secular foundations.

The prophet Jeremiah pleaded with wicked Israel, “God is fashioning a calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh, turn back each of you from your evil way, and reform your ways and deeds. But they will say, It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart” (Jeremiah 18:11-12).

In Psalm 11:6, David warns, “Upon the wicked he will rain snares (coals of fire)…fire…burning wind…will be the portion of their cup.” Why? David answered, “Because the Lord is righteous” (v. 7). This is a righteous judgment—just as in the judgments of Sodom and in Noah’s generation.

WHAT SHALL THE RIGHTEOUS DO? WHAT ABOUT GOD’S PEOPLE?

First, I give you a practical word I received for my own direction. If possible lay in store a thirty-day supply of non-perishable food, toiletries and other essentials. In major cities, grocery stores are emptied in an hour at the sign of an impending disaster.

As for our spiritual reaction, we have but two options. This is outlined in Psalm 11. We “flee like a bird to a mountain.” Or, as David says, “He fixed his eyes on the Lord on his throne in heaven—his eyes beholding, his eyelids testing the sons of men” (v. 4). “In the Lord I take refuge” (v. 1).

I will say to my soul: No need to run...no need to hide. This is God’s righteous work. I will behold our Lord on his throne, with his eye of tender, loving kindness watching over every step I take—trusting that he will deliver his people even through floods, fires, calamities, tests, trials of all kinds.

Note: I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off. I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose.

God bless and keep you,

In Christ,

DAVID WILKERSON

Could someone print a list of what we will need, other than rice and beans?
It would be greatly appreciated.
That way, I can carry the list to the Grocery Store.
You can PM me if you like.
God Bless

While I am not necessarily saying that there is a connection, for some reason the Lord has had me praying for North Korea for a couple of weeks now. Here is an article by CNN that talks of some of the things that are going on with North Korea as well as a video that is contained within the article.

Good word from brother Wilkerson.

The Lord has been pounding something in my heart like this for the past few months as well. All I keep hearing in prayer is "Violent days are ahead." But don't be troubled, have faith... for the just shall LIVE by faith (Hab. 2:4). Increased savings, perishable goods, etc are a good idea. Joseph used the seven years of abundance to prepare for the seven years of famine.

However, depending on the severity of the things to come, no amount of preparation will be sufficient save for being spiritually alert and ready. Be sure to not have a false confidence in the things you can store up for yourself. Barns full of stuff can burn down overnight. Just make sure your trust is truly in the Lord. Cast your lot with Him.

I would definitely recommend either going to Times Square Church or to the Brooklyn Tabernacle, both are "word-centered" churches even though they are both very large.

Firstly, thank you Greg for sending forth this message to all in the mailing list.

The immediate thought that came to my mind was the passover and much later like in Noah warning about the flood.

I think I should warn my dear and near ones, my friends and even my collegues of this possibiity. I do not know how, and there is the thought of timidity and embaracement. But I am going to seek the Lord in this regard and ask HIM to help me out to do the things I need to do.

Dan 11:33 And those who understand among the people shall teach many; yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by exile, and spoil, for days.

Eze 3:18 When I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; and you do not give him warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked one shall die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.
Eze 3:19 Yet if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
Eze 3:20 And when the righteous turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and when I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.
Eze 3:21 But if you warn the righteous so that the righteous does not sin, and if he does not sin, he shall surely live because he is warned; also you have delivered your soul.

Eze 33:7 And you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore you shall hear the Word from My mouth, and warn them from Me.
Eze 33:8 When I say to the wicked, O wicked one, you shall surely die; if you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked one shall die in his iniquity; but I will require his blood at your hand.
Eze 33:9 But, if you warn the wicked of his way, to turn from it; if he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.

BUT PRAISE BE TO GOD, HE IS OUR SALVATION. NOT MY REASON OR FEELINGS OR BY THINGS SEEN, BUT BY HIS SPIRIT, because HE HAS SAID SO.

Luk 12:5 But I will warn you of whom you shall fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you, fear Him.

THEM THAT FEAR GOD NEED FEAR NOTHING ELSE.

THE LORD WILL KEEP US. LET US SURRENDER OURSLEVES TO HIS CARE AND HIS WILL.

2Ti 1:12 For this cause I also suffer these things; but I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard My deposit unto that Day.

What if such things do not happen?

Then we will praise the Lord for answering our prayers.

I meant more so along the lines of brother Wilkerson emphatically saying that these things WILL happen, that the Holy Spirit told him these things. If that was the case, I don't think we can pray the Lord out of allowing such things to happen.

Here is a link to a forum I visit that has lots of information on what to store and how to store it. Many other forgotten how-to instructions for those necessary crafts that have been lost over time.

Frugal Squirrel's

I stay within the How To section and the sections specifically labeled Christian, don't know everything that is on the site, but their lists are helpful for starters.

Plan for power outages and have a way to cook & lots of fuel and matches.

In the long run, my husband and I do not have the funds to stock up much and pray that we will at least have time to get the garden in and started. Green beans come up quick and produce soonest. We could live on those easily. If there is enough rain to grow. It is all in the Lord's hands. If we live through it, we live for Jesus. If we die, we go to Him. What is there to fear.

Like an Oak tree, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. Or, the same sun that melts the wax, hardens the clay. God's will be done. My His name be glorified.

Kindest regards,
white stone

P.S. I read a similar warning the other day on a financial forum. One of the Big Talking Heads predicted impending disaster, too. Too many signs to take it lightly.

This is an excellant site, and if you have Excel, a free download shopping list, item by item, that you could ever need.

The link above leads to the Basic Minimum List.

There is also a book you can buy from the author that teaches just about everything one might need to know in a disaster.

1 Thess 5:10-28 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake.

And be at peace among yourselves.

[& 1 Thessalonians 4:9]

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Rejoice evermore.

Pray without ceasing.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Quench not the Spirit.

Despise not prophesyings.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it.

Brethren, pray for us. ["Pray one for another."]

Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

I charge you by the Lord that 'this' epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Amen

What if such things do not happen?

Remember Jonah

it is written
Jer 30:23 Behold, the tempest of Jehovah's wrath goes forth, a sweeping tempest; it shall whirl on the head of the wicked.

it is also written
Eze 18:23 Do I actually delight in the death of the wicked? says the Lord Jehovah. Is it not that he should turn from his ways and live?

My immediate reaction was to make provision ... for the body. But again I am led to examine myself in constant repentance and ensure that I am walking in the light and the assurance of God's love for me. Seeking the complete reign of the HOLY SPIRIT in my life.

By HIS grace...

W

My immediate reaction was to make provision ... for the body.

Last summer we had more food from our garden than we could eat ourselves. We gave away shopping bags full each week. I gave them to a thrift store that has a huge Spanish speaking clientele. The shop keeper was told the food was from Jesus and freely given to be freely distributed. Lord willing we will have a good harvest this season, too.

This year I hope to be able to give to our immediate neighbors and speak to them of Jesus.

I do not have money to stock a pantry full of food. Seeds are not that expensive and digging is something God allows me to do and enjoy. I do not feel this is considered simply 'making provision for the body.' It is not just our bodies we will feed.

I just plant the seeds - God gives the increase.

I think that it is rally wonderful that you and your husband are being faithful to what Father is leading you. I know that gardening is hard work but that you are doing it unto Him. God is faithful, by this next fall I am sure you will have a plentiful harvest and many of your neighbors will be blessed.I know your heart is to walk in Him daily and to be a help to others for His name sake.

Have a blessed day

Today's Sermon from Times Square Church.

08-Mar-2009 - "Seeing Christ at the Hour of His Return" by Carter Conlon.

To White_Stone ... :-)

May God give you the wisdom and the right words while you share the good news with others.
May God prepare their heart for the seed that He wants you to plant.
And sometimes even when practically helping others, we might not get an opportunity to share the gospel, or we may be just led to silently help and move out. And even then may the sweet aroma of Christ in you, touch the lives of whom God allows you to come across.
1Co 15:58 So that, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.

When I meant my immediate thought, i meant MY immediate thought :-)
I have the tendecy to priortize on self preservation, while my focus ought to be continiously on the things that are of eternal worth followed by other things. i.e. to be in constant Spiritual readiness followed by 'physical' readiness.
So as I am reminded of these things, I wanted to share and encourage others too.

a bit of a 'universal' side note here : I have no right to state or pass a remark on how others perceive things but to simply state the things that God is reminding me and what He wishes to do in me. So may God give me grace to first and foremost work these in my own life.
Sometimes it may seem as if my comment is a direct hit on somebody else thoughts and I regret and appologies for that. After all I know not the intentions of the heart and who am I too sit on high and pass judgement and become the 'teacher'. And so far, statistically I have been more wrong than right. so far ... :-) but there is hope!
So my dear brothers and sisters, all that points you to Jesus and challenges you in that simplicity and devotion to Christ, hold on and the rest with love cast away.

yours because of Jesus
