Arguing that the devil does exist will be Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church and Annie Lobert, founder of Hookers for Jesus.
Sadly this may be my last post here. The pride and disregard for other brothers and sisters is amazing.
If you disagree with Driscoll on his ways of doing things, fine, to each their own. But the Christ of the Bible is being proclaimed and that is good.
The fact that this will be on national television and that it makes Deepak Chopra look silly should be encouraging to us as well as he has represented himself as a Christian and many have bought into his lies in his books.
I cannot believe the smug and arrogant attitude that has come across this place, maybe it was always here and when I was of the same mind, I was blind to it?

I firmly do not agree with mark driscolls presentation of the gospel and many others who speak the holy words of God in a very unsanctified manner. Such preaching truly will not change life's to a "doctrine that is according to godliness".
I do not see much of name-calling on the forums and we are not promoting such on the forums at all. But this news item is quite important to the view of many who will see christianity as these 2 men represent it. I find this sad and the need of prayer for men of God to be raised up as trumpets and voices to this wicked and perverse generation.
Reading the linked article is difficult.
How likely is it that the promoters of this show view it any different than as SPORT for financial gain. Who will be the advertisers?
Consider that many of the Christian viewers are likely to be young in Christ with real spiritual needs. And for non-Christians, presenting the Christ of the Bible in such an Arena will require great maturity and great Grace.
I guess listening to a recent posting on Martyrs in Rome has heightened my awareness of Christ being hated/mocked. I have confidence that God knows what He is doing/allowing to be done in this . (I will not be buying a television to see this.)
