Dear friends,
I just wanted to share how thankful I am for this website. I have been a Christian for about 10 years now. I was converted after living a wild life of drugs, crime, and immorality. When I accepted the Lord, I joined a very tight-knit discipleship ministry and was trained to teach the Bible, preach, and help lead others to Christ. My first seven years I served the Lord diligently with all my time and resources. I discovered this website during that time and experienced a wonderful source of spiritual enrichment and empowerment with all the sermons, videos, etc. . . .
Unfortunately, for the last three years I am ashamed to say that I allowed myself to become totally distracted and lost my passion for serving God. I didn’t go back to a full-blown sinful life or anything like that. In fact, I was still very active with helping to serve at my church and living a responsible life at work and at home. But I was just going through the motions at church and didn’t consider my life sold-out for the purpose of serving God. Instead, I lived for my hobbies, work, and family. But all along I had a deep conviction that I need to change my life and recommit myself to the Lord. . .
I am so thankful that the Lord has helped me to finally come to that place. I am experiencing such an awesome renewal in Him. And Sermon Index has been such a powerful source of encouragement for this. I am so thankful that even while I was wayward and wasting away my time, Sermon Index remained here continuing to minister. I’m so thankful that I can come back and still find it here and find all the excellent resources I need to boost my passion and urgency for the Lord once again. In the last few days I have been so moved by listening again to “Ten Shekels And A Shirt,” “Revival Hymn,” “The Judgment Seat Of Christ,” “Hell’s Best Kept Secret,” and a few others. Hearing these powerful sermons has absolutely fired me up to seek the Lord passionately and serve His kingdom purposes with my life. Thanks again to Sermon Index for providing an incredibly source for fostering my growth with all the powerful resources on here. May God richly bless you for your labor in Him.
A thankful brother in Christ,
Nathan
