2 Kings 3:22 And they rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone upon the water, and the Moabites saw the water on the other side as red as blood:
23 And they said, This is blood: the kings are surely slain, and they have smitten one another: now therefore, Moab, to the spoil.
The enemy saw a valley of blood. The enemy saw nothing but defeat for God’s people . . . but God had another plan, because His people had cried out to Him:
2 Kings 3:24 And when they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and smote the Moabites, so that they fled before them: but they went forward smiting the Moabites, even in their country.
ON ANOTHER GLORIOUS OCCASION, the enemy said “their king is surely slain”. The enemies could only see the blood that had been shed on that cross as a sign of defeat . . . but early in the morning . . .
Matthew 28:1 ¶In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And that blood has continued to cleanse the stains of sin for all these centuries since that day!!!
AND AGAIN, IN OUR DAY . . . as the enemies of humanism, prosperity religion, atheism, and many other “rulers of the darkness of this world” howl in victory over the “blood of a dead church”, let it be that God’s people rise up in mighty prayer with mustard seed sized faith, and turn the “great defeat” into a MIGHTY REVIVAL!!!
