Waiting by the pool

M
MJones May 1, 2009

Jesus had just healed the man who sat waiting by the pool. In fact it was what had Him in a little debate with the Pharisees.

The Pharisees studied and were very knowledgeable of the scriptures, yet they did not know God. They did it to win the praise of man. They did it to impress their peers.

In this attitude of trying to impress and trying to win the praise of man, they enter into a debate with Jesus for healing on the Sabbath. But also, in this mindset, they miss the opportunity to help someone who sat by the pool waiting for someone to care.

How many people, who are waiting for someone to care, do we overlook because we are so busy trying to impress.
