Outright blasphemous?

T

Every day, I'm in an environment that is outright blasphemous and tries its best to remove Christians from the faith through any way it can. They bend and break rules, they debate and swear and all sorts of things they can think of.

My question is this... what am I supposed to do? I have to go here every day, but this always happens... How am I supposed to react to it?

In Christ,
Max

Dear brother Max;
Have you ever read Bunyon's classic Pilgrims Progress? Second most read book historically besides the bible. I often times feel I am stuck in the city called Vanity Fair. Thats me personally.Since I can't physically leave, what I have learned to do is daily invite Jesus to walk with me and daily He walks with me as I am willing to walk with Him, His very presence turns the most ungodly or worldly places into the most sacred...uuuummmm...precious,um, profitable learning grounds, experiences, or places in my day to day routine. His presence changes everything. I would learn to invite Jesus daily into your life and not to assume that He is there automatically. Scripturally there is no hint that He ever refused to go where He was invited to go, He will go with you, just learn to say and than watch what happens in all of life as you place your attention on Him, expect great things from an even Greater God and friend, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Max, sounds like a battle field. The LORD does
not send you into battle without equipping and
preparing you for war! The weapons of faith are
HIS Word, which is the sword of the Spirit, you
know the helmet of salvation, the breastplate
of righteousness, and the shield of faith!!
Arm yourself!! Study Ephesians 6.

Brother, I do not think you will get a better answer then this brother gave you. It is a learning process for you and do not for one minute try dealing with this in your own strength: you will get trampled every time.

It may also help if you were to look at these people as potential saints. Try that and see what happens.

When I was at CPC, counseling all kinds of sinners, I looked at these people and knew in my heart that Jesus loved them so very much. And brother, I did not have enough love in my heart for them. I had to experience an infusion of divine love for them and He gave it - every time. But you must feel a lack and a need before the LORD can assist you - but you must ask for it. Just know you are not the Holy Spirit, just his helper, so do not run ahead of him.

God bless you...
